Considering the injuries the rotation has faced, Dunning should be selected as Rangers Pitcher of the Year. He should be in the 2024 rotation after starting this season in the bullpen.

Seager, Lowe, Heim, Garver, and Carter (small sample size) have all hit better than .300 lifetime against Gilbert.

However, Semien is just 2 for 20 lifetime against him, and Jung and Taveras have never gotten a hit off him.

Yeah, I’ve given up trying to figure out which Rangers offense will show up each night. Just when I think they have got it figured out again, they’ll put up like 5 one-run games in a row. And just when I write them off, they’ll put double digits on the scoreboard. So I can’t even begin to guess which version shows up tonight.

My take is that Carter is more comfortable in the batter’s box knowing that major league pitchers have more control of their pitches so he can dig in more, relax and leverage his home run swing more.

It's like that announcer said, it is just about every game he umpires he is in the center of a controversial call. And he thinks he should be asked to umpire in postseason games.
