[BULLPEN FAILURE]

Tonight was my first game with the roof closed. I loved it. One thing we noticed with the roof closed was that our old ears could not hear Chuck Morgan clearly at times. We hadn't noticed that at our two previous games at Globe Life Field when the roof was open.

I still don't understand why they don't have TV monitors at the concession stands and in the concourses. The concession stand kiosks were not operating near us and the employees were rather slow taking and filling orders.

This was our first time on the 100 level. It was a breeze leaving the stadium with our section's concourse being on street level.

They messed up the PA this year. I could barely hear Chuck at times on Opening Day, and I've never had that issue at any other game at the Grill.

The concourses and concessions seemed improved to me, but still woefully subpar. I shouldn't have to walk 3 sections to find a screen. But 100 level is the way to go for sure.

Curious, why DFA Abreu instead of one of the other relief guys that are struggling?

That was too late especially after 3 runs were in. Not only 3 hits but walks too.

I wonder if a trade is in the works and they recall him. I think there is interest as he does have good velo but yes he was not the worst guy I our pen Future room will be needed though

Paredes doubled. Brujin walked, Kiermaier singled with 1 run scoring. they called the bullpen just before Kiermaier's single and Santana needed time to get warm. Franco singled, 1 run scored and Arozarena singled, 3rd run scored. Santana in. maybe after the walk they should have got Santana up during the walk but even i wasn't expecting Moore to have that kind of trouble

Re Moore. The first hit was a hard hit ball
He gave up one walk and then a seeing eye weak single another not too sharp single then mound visit to help Santana to get ready. Then a harder hit one up the middle and pulled.

I am not a Woody fan per se but maybe he could have started Santana up a guy earlier but with a big lead you kind of want to see if guys can work out of Jams and Moore has been surprisingly good so far this year

I have bigger beefs with Woody than this one.

Guess Saddles and DT disagree and that is ok. Just my opinion which makes the board fun to have contrasting ideas

We will monitor as Eph mentioned maybe the book is out on him as he only added new pitch this season if I remember correctly

I'm just glad Santana got ready as quick as he did. As late as he got up, I thought it would have taken him another batter to be fully warmed up. If it had, he might have come into a one run game.

We found a good private parking lot on Arlington Downs Rd. It is just east on Globe Life Field. It is on the south side of Arlington Downs Rd. right across from Lot D. It was $20 and you can keep your parking ticket and park the fourth time for free.

My guess is that with a 4+ run lead and Moore being a vet, Woody probably had a longer leash than normal. But Moore shouldn't have struggled as much as he did, so I'm hoping this isn't the downslope for him.

Miller will probably be back in 10 days and Smith can also play SS, 2B & he's been playing some OF so Culberson and Ibanez have become redundant like Abreu had. hell, even Reks may be getting his last shot of staying on the 40
