Fair enough and I hope he is what we paid for.hasn't been so far, no. but the season ends in October, let's see where he's at then.

I think the key is the difference between heating up and getting hot. I can warm up my hands on a cold day by rubbing them together. I would be heating them up. However, if i held them over a fire they would get a lot hotter. Hitting .283 over 13 games is nice, but hopefully, he has a lot better stretches in him than that.he's raised his average 40 points in the past two weeks. OBP up 38 points, SLG up 59 points and OPS up 97 points. If that's not heating up, I don't know what is.

I think you just wanted Story like me. But the agent overpriced him or we probably would have had him. So Semien unless he blows it out will never be a successful signingI think the key is the difference between heating up and getting hot. I can warm up my hands on a cold day by rubbing them together. What I expect from him and I think we will see seasons where this happens is for him to hit in around the .260 range but with a much better slugging percentage that we have seen so far. I think it will happen. I do believe at times when guys get these big contracts at first they feel a lot of weight to produce and they put too much on themselves. Once the dust clears they get back to playing at the level they have been known to play at in the past.he's raised his average 40 points in the past two weeks. Because you are right. Yet people want to pile on Semien. Probably more a chuckle@Kelleyman how was that funny
To be fair, I think we all saw two players with great performances before coming here. Obviously we hoped to see the same starting immediately and that didn't happen. My expectations have been disappointing to say the least but sometimes we forget the human part of being a ball player. Prehaps the same human part exsist in the fans as well. Players as well as fans sometimes fail to live in a world of reality.Conversely, in the same time frame, Seager's numbers:
AVG = down 10 points
OBP = down 10 points
SLG = down 14 points
OPS = down 23 points
Corey is a bigger concern than Marcus at the moment.
If he simply does what he has a history of doing he will only have a couple really good seasons here with a very remote chance at three. We are going to have to live with that. I am ok for now with Semien for now but he better get his defense in order. He is hitting better but yes he is not on fire
I am hoping for good defense and maybe 3 30 HR seasons. I hope he can play well in clutch situations but I was concerned re Story defense but though TX was better suited for him offensively than SemienIf he simply does what he has a history of doing he will only have a couple really good seasons here with a very remote chance at three. Hopefully, Termarr Johnson will take over at 2B in 2026. Maybe by then both Seager and Semien will have moved on to 1B and DH ala Michael Young. I guess one of them could be traded by then, but who knows.I am hoping for good defense and maybe 3 30 HR seasons. We may have to live with that. I know all all depth at 2B in the minors was in the mix.
That might be a good thing though

What makes you think so because I hope he does.Seeing this lineup makes me think Josh Smith has a shot at staying up
Because Ibanez and Culbertson are not starting against the LHPWhat makes you think so because I hope he does.
don't think either will be with us much longerBecause Ibanez and Culbertson are not starting against the LHP
