I could see Smith being somewhere in the outfield next season.

maybe but we know that Garcia will be there, and it is probable that they pick up Calhoun's option and Miller has a contract for 2023 so unless they pass on Calhoun and trade Miller where will Smith line up. probably on the bench as the new UIF replacing Ibanez

I sure hope they don’t pick up the Calhoun option. He has no future for the Rangers, unless he’s going to be a coach.

no he has no long-term future with the Rangers but he does fill a need in 2023 when we have no one in the minors ready to come up. is there a good OF'er FA that would sign for 1 year that you would take in place of him? (remember only a 1-year deal)
