We need help Bennie. Outside Hamels and Yu we don't have one credible pitcher in our rotation at the present. Perez is healthy and not reliable. We have a good shot of winning the division and making the playoffs so why would we not acquire a SP. Surly you are not suggesting we stick with AJ Colby Derek Nick and Chi Chi.

Indeed. FO needs to decide what they want this year. If they hold and wait for better weather in the off season, fine but don't pretend you intend to contend with the above aforementioned struggling or injured pitchers.

I remember in 2010 we had a hodgepodge rotation but they got us at least 5 innings of low run ball and let that great offense have a chance at holding it and a decent BP to finish it out. That helped until call ups with fresh arms to come in at later innings.

Last year we were 8 games out of first and JD pulled the trigger on Hamels. Justification was yes he would give us a fighting chance in 2015 but he was controllable for another 3-4 years.
