Beltre has to quit swinging for a homer every at bat. He's been pretty bad lately and we cannot afford that.

I've got the cure for Napoli, whenever I bench him on my fantasy team he produces, that would be this game, his 3-4 game and his 2 HR game against the Angels.... Gonna take one for the team

Sadly I sat Ian on the bench too tonight, of course, might have to leave him there for a while if they both keep this up for awhile

Thanks Nathan.

That's the way you crush a team trying to get out of a slump

Unreal. Just unreal. I feel like I've finally been rewarded for all of the nights I watched until the bitter end just to see them lose. When Young got on base with the error and then Murphy worked that insane 11-pitch walk, it started to really have that special feeling. Such an ugly start, followed by an uncharacteristic huge Rangers comeback, followed by a huge Nathan letdown kick in the gut, followed by one of the best walk-offs in Rangers history. I'm not going to make any predictions regarding turning points or good omens for August, but...

Understatement of the year: They needed this!

Eventhough this team has been in a lull (understatement)... you have to keep faith.

Hell of a comeback tonight.

On top of that... Rumor has it that Olt is about to be called up. And that Synder is about to be optioned.

Figured he'd be moved up to AAA at the deadline ... but never thought he'd get the call to TEX.

Thinking about it ... it makes sense. Not so much need for Snyder as backup catcher with Moreland back and less reason for Napoli to play 1b or DH. Soto ends up with more bench time than YT did. Result ... TEX looks to see where they have that RH corner bat in their system who is in the groove.

Bet he sees more playing time at 3b giving Beltre nights off in August.

I feel very good about the current roster. Maybe the season direction turned in the bottom of the 10th.

I think Soto and Naps see a pretty good split of time at catcher in August heat

I think Olt gets a good amount of time splitting with Moreland at 1B in a platoon along with spelling Beltre at 3B

Young would seem to have to be the biggest loser with this move

Huge win. Biggest loss of the year for the Angels. Downs already missed.

Dempster needs to show he can pitch in the AL, with deeper lineups with the DH, and at the ballpark. Big game. Angels will be looking for bounceback win.

Olt only has 12 games at 1b for Frisco this season on his record ... but would love to see him sprouting or platooning with Moreland and keeping MY off the field along with giving Beltre relief.

Key is for Olt to get lots of ABs and not shunted to the end of the bench. And hopefully you are right ... Olt's playing time will be taken mainly from PADMY.

If Dempster turns out to be the top of the rotation guy we hope he will be for TEX ... then he will erase quickly our memories of the last former CHC pitcher TEX acquired.

It's been an exciting week. Lots of pretty good moves and this last one could have the most dramatic impact on the offense.
