I don't understand why MLB felt it needed to set a rule for when non-pitchers can pitch. It's stupid! So is the roster management rule that requires 13 pitchers and 13 non-pitchers.

There's not a lot for me to like about Clevinger. He is a bad vibe - even without the investigation. That said, I think the worst case scenario happens here Clevinger gets little or no punishment for the allegations. This is because it appears there is a lack of documented facts or witnesses to the lady's story. I think we get to deal with Clevinger's stink cloud all season long.

Grandal famously worked out under the Chicago Blackhawks S&T coaches. Therefore, when it ices over at Guaranteed Rate Field this season Grandal will be poised to dominate. He does look good this spring.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Sox need Gavin Sheets as a LH bat off the bench this year - having added LH bats Benintendi and Colas to the starting lineup. Perhaps this is why Burger is getting so many opportunities this spring.

Moncada and Robert will be playing for team Cuba in the World Baseball Classic. I hope it's a recruiting trip.

it really emphasizes what a shit culture reinsdork carries around with him. he's a loser and therefore the team is a loser. it's been apparent for 40 years! white sox fans have been royally screwed for so long now. and grifol won't make much of a difference simply because he has to answer to the same shitheads all sox managers have had to answer to. sox manager's hands have been tied and general manager's as well. this team has only one hope, ..... stated clearly in my signature.

I saw on ESPN that in a MLB preseason game the umpire called both the 1st batter up and the pitcher for delay of game and the 1st batter started the game with a 1-1 count. I wondered what if that call came when there was already a 3-2 count on the batter?

that is a very good question. i'd guess it's whichever one occurred first, which i'd also guess would be the strike on the batter because the pitcher's count until after the batter is set.

If Clevinger is the #5 starter in the Sox rotation and the Sox open with 4 games in Houton with the Astros before the home opener on 4/3, then Clevinger will start the home opener. It will be interesting to see if the Sox will let that happen.

It would be in Clevinger's best interest to make his Sox debut in front of the home crowd where I'm sure they will give him a more friendly welcome. We can only imagine the shit opposing fans will give him, especially early on when this matter is still remains somewhat in the news.
