Russell a vet QB. Hackett a rookie HC... Is there some sort of struggle to keep Wilson happy and this is impacting some things with this team right now? These two need to sit down and talk and have a heart to heart about what is going on.

I thought the same thing when the two were discussing a play at crunch time. Hackett’s body language seemed to be suggesting a play as opposed to calling one.

On a side note: does anyone recall Aikman’s criticism of Denver’s offense toward the end of the game? I remember him ragging on the receivers routes and lack of separation in general.

What happened to Wilson's supposed authority to make his own play calls at the LOS?

I don’t understand why Hackett insists on making Wilson a pocket qb. It’s asinine. Russ seems to be able to make a play when he rolls outs or scrambles out of the pocket. Paton should fire Hacket for that reason alone
It s Wilson that insists on being a pocket QB. That is why so many Seahawk fans were so happy to see him traded away. He is no longer the QB he used to be.

If $246 million can't keep him happy then he needs to go fuck himself.

Another random Russell Wilson thought: After two disastrous pick 6s last night, Andy Dalton still has a QB rating higher than Russell Wilson.

This.

One of Wilson's best weapons was his mobility and throws on the move. I think to some degree that's starting to go, but Wilson was never a great pocket passer. He was one of the best QBs of all time playing backyard football... scrambling/running around and buying time and IMO had the best deep ball in the league.

Something is off this year.... He's not scrambling much and IMO he lost a step in 2019 (I think it was 19') when Suh got him an ankle injury and the pec/finger issue is affecting his deep ball.

It might just be that Wilson is injured, but wondering if Seattle successfully sold a lemon to Denver.

Russ said, he wants to be a pocket passer so Hackett is catering to him. He has this idea in his head he's PFM umm no dude PFM is better QB you are a mobile out of the pocket guy. I hope the next coach can reach him and his posse. For a guy that runs Dove Valley he hasn't earned it with new team. The way he's playing he still acts this way. Is it bad i'm already in shut up Russ and prove it mode. Maybe him and Hackett are a bad fit but, maybe 90% of the problem is TMZ Russ. People talk about trade assets but, imagine being married to someone til 2026 that gets you nowhere. In AFC you can't mess around and be stubborn.

Rypien to start this game and perhaps London, too. What if it turns out you only have to be three inches taller than Russ to properly execute Hackett’s offense. :D

What HC do you think would fit 2023 Russ?
