You're correct. I thought that was a dumb signing by a team that always has to overpay for talent. But he's living up to that deal. At least after one year.

I'm not sure if the team plan will keep him as #1. The expected return to the NFL for Calvin Ridley is certain to draw a healthy share of targets (whenever that happens), as well as continued targets expected for a re-emerged TE Evan Engram (if retained in FA). Zay Jones continues to get a healthy target share too.

Smart move by him if his goal is to be a HC. If he is ever going to be considered for a HC job he needs to be seen as the guy responsible for a successful Offense instead of Reid or Mahomes. BUT, unfortunately for him, I just don't think he is that guy and as an NFCE rival I am going to be more than a little giddy if Washington hires him as OC
