Not sure what the Rams would be eating to move him, but I'll assume it's just related to the current year's salary/cap hit. For 25 and 26 the "new" team would owe Kupp about $20M per. If you think the guy will be healthy that seems like a pretty good deal. Does anyone think Kupp will be healthy?

Wonder if the Chiefs would be interested or if they had their fill of injuried WRs.
Kupp has missed a full seasons worth of games over the past three years. If you could guarantee his health for a playoff run then I think KC should absolutely do it but I'd imagine the Chiefs might have to go elsewhere.

Knowing the Chiefs I could see them trading something small for Demarcus Robinson instead.

Are these rumors about Stafford to the Vikings legit? That would be crazy - those two teams play each other this Thursday, making the situation even crazier.

Several teams need a WR. Kupp could be acquired and it looks like the Rams may eat some of his salary to get a 2nd rounder.

I expected the Rams to make a big offseason push for Donald's final season in 2024. Post February 2025 I expected Donald and McVay to retire and the Rams to trade both Stafford and Kupp. Donald choosing to retire a year early changed the plans. The team got younger - hedging rather than going all in. 2024 isn't going to be our year. I wouldn't be shocked either way with early trades. There are no negative cap implications for the Rams. Moving Kupp means $7.48M of 2026 dead money accelerates in 2025, whilst the new team would be taking on his $20M salaries and bonuses. Similarly moving Stafford accelerates $22.67M of 2026 cap into 2025 whilst offloading $31M of 2025 salary and bonus. Kupp isn't worth a low 2025 2nd round pick. The Rams eating $7M of 2024 salary would potentially change that. It's a business.
