I hope Toney isn't too surprised when the Chiefs decline in 5th year option in May.
His 2024 salary is guaranteed. He wouldn't be claimed if cut and the Chiefs would be on the hook for the $2.53M. The Chiefs don't really need the roster spot. It's possible that another team will trade for Toney at minimum wage after the Draft. That could save the Chiefs about $1M. Maybe Toney will look like a better prospect in August 2024. If not he'll be cut. There's no rush.If he's not dressing, I don't know why he's still even on the roster today.

Yes it's a pitifully small amount in NFL terms, but after the Super Bowl it's a 90-man roster. Some teams, (such as the Rams), don't bother completely filling it which reduces hassle and paperwork as try-outs come and go. If the Chiefs don't need the roster spot they don't need to cut Toney, and doing so would effectively reward him. It costs them nothing to play the long game. Maybe Toney loses patience and does something that voids the 4th year guarantee.$2.53M is a fart in the wind to NFL teams. Do you really think they keep him around another year?
Disgusting. I already get Amazon Prime for Thursday Night Football so I won’t have to sign up for something new at least, but playoff games should NOT be put on streaming services - you shouldn’t have to pay to watch the playoffs. Fuck that.
Why?you shouldn’t have to pay to watch the playoffs.
What the hell. It's a business who's propose is to make money. The idea that fans have some sort of right for the NFL product for free is a pretty entitled point of view. The playoffs should be available for everyone to see, it’s not right to make people pay to watch them. It’s disrespectful to the fans to make them pay to watch must see games.

Nice.
There are kids in college who have never seen a MNF game for free.Disgusting. it's packaged entertainment - from a financial perspective basically the same as movies or TV shows. They are only shown for "free" if the provider chooses to package them that way.Because the American people built the NFL into a billion dollar mega business for free
