According to the chart in the 2025 chart thread... Buffalo was 2nd in QB TD scoring in the league. But they were tied for 4th in RB TD scoring. Their TE and WR TD suffered.

take that 4th in RB scoring TD's and divide it into two, does not make a happy fantasy owner

James Cook led the league in rushing TD's with 16, but if that worst case scenario comes true and Ray Davis adds to Josh Allen's vulturing..in addition to stealing normal touches..very aggravating

but again..that's like the worst case hypothetical from a fantasy standpoint- I personally don't see it happening

It might also be worth noting that Cook never had more than 2 rushing scores before last year, despite having 30+ more touches in '23 so that '16' could be an anomaly

I know it may sound bias since i put together the chart, but in an era where RB are splitting carries and majority of the team's TDs - percentage wise - favor the WR position, it still may be worth targeting a RB thats in an offense that uses them for scores.

well that's the thing though- in the 'Josh Allen era" last year's 18 scores form the RB is an extreme variation from the norm.
'23 = 7
'22 = 8
'21 = 12
'20 = 8
'19 = 4
'18 = 4

I"m not really buying that all of a sudden the Bill's RB is where it's at for Rb TD's

There's arguably one thing rarer than a workhorse RB, and thats a solid QB. Bills would be smart to hand off to a RB rather than risk injury to Allen. Although Trubisky may be secretly hoping for some playing time.

Agreed, I've been saying that for years now. That was why I was high on Damien Harris in '23- who flamed out in spectacular fashion instead. FInally came to fruition last year.

Now will they continue that? I truly hope so, for Cook's sake, and for Allen's long term health's sake. And I have zero shares of either one

I think we'll see Allen dial it back a bit as he ages, but big time game vs key opponent? He'll still bulldoze into the defense if that's what's available

That's pretty amazing, I didn't realize that.

Sure could be an anomaly, but it could also be a 3rd year breakout.

Lotsa scenarios goin' on here...

Was kinda surprised..I get that first year, he wasn't the guy, all that, but year 2, he was THE guy, and just couldn't get it in. Granted Allen had 15...but dang, would 4-6 be out of the question? 2?? Really?

16 last year, in fewer carries no less, just boggles my mind. It's difficult to trust

To be fair, he did catch 4 TDs as well, so there's that.

But who knows with Allen running the show.

Outside of the unicorns like Faulk, LT, CMAC..I try really hard to never put much into RB receiving scores. Very hard to predict or bank on. Receptions, yes. That can be safely assumed in many cases (or safely dismissed in others). But the scores, never know.

King Henry had 2, tieing his career high from 5 years ago.. and zero in between, despite two years with double his normal total in receptions tossed in the middle

Best NFL player from St Louis area?

Thinking him and Zeke gotta be top end of that list. Pretty sure Armstead has the IL state high school shot put and discus records, or at least set them when he was at Cahokia HS

Bills publicly standing firm in not extending Cook so far. Could just be tough talk, but Cook did list his buffalo home for sale, which also could just be coincidence. Lotta smoke that an RB change could happen

We had a lot of contracts to lock down. Cook is amazing, but still an RB... I am fearful though. Not just of losing him, but of locker room unity if he stays in limbo.

I was curious so I looked up the length of his touchdown runs. He only had three 1 yard touchdowns and two of them were at the end of the season when they were trying to get him the rushing touchdown title. Here are the length of his scores. Not really sure what to make of this as most were less than 10 yards, so maybe that does show a change in philosophy once they get inside the 10 yard line and don't want to just let Allen keep it in his hands.
