Yep, I'm really good with that.

Things are looking really good! Damn great, in fact!

Things can't get much better!

Ominous foreshadowing...

One month behind but I finally got my 'all plays' film studied on about 20 RB's. Got my rankings, found my -dark horse' (or at least the guy who isn't widely considered a top prospect).
Anyone who thinks there are more than 3-5 solid NFL RB's in this draft might be a little disappointed, just saying. There's a good handful, or more, that will contribute nicely as real football players, but I'm not too sure there's more than 3-5 fantasy assets there

Bring on the NFL draft already!

Yeah feel like I'm ready for the NFL draft to see where the players land. Got my dark horses in mind. Really glad I have the picks to make this year drafts fun. Only one league (SuperFlex league) where I don't have a first and I have a nice roster in that league.

Nope missed him. I had ZERO dark horses last year, as even the normal horses didn't excite me
Well, I didn't - - but not because I thought he'd be a sleeper starter and do so well. .... I only grabbed him based on landing spot and the real fear/statistical reality that R. White would lose his job - leaving him and Tucker as primary. ...

well I had assumed since they didn't figure it out the year before that White was a schmuck, there wasn't much hope last year, not with the roster fodder i THOUGHT they had assembled behind him. They got me

I didn't have any dark horse last season, my strategy was draft a number of them and hope to get lucky.
Same strategy I'm using in Bandits this yr - - except there are some real legit guys this yr. ....

Bucky Irving gonna make my big money 1-player keeper league choice tough next year. Had a few shares as one of my common late round redraft targets but didn't push to get him in any dynasty drafts.

I've been terrible in the keeper, 1-2 to-date but been trying to stash cheap guys to free up more capital on draft day the last 2 seasons and it's been blowing up in my face gloriously thus far....

2024 Zamir White kept for $1
Shockingly wasn't even worth that $1, another one of those 'final month mirage' guys that popped for a stretch after the team gave up on the season. Thankful I backed off him in my other redraft leagues after keeping him here.

2023 Jahon Dotson kept for $1
Crushing this whole 'keep an entirely useless player' strategy. If people can remember this long ago, he flashed just enough as a rookie to look like he could be a solid WR2 type and red zone threat, and i also thought Wentz could still sling it. I was way wrong here.

2022 kept Jefferson, nailed it!

Can't wait to post about this decision in a few months only to make the wrong choice again, lol

Ah yes. The time of year i dread. ROOKIES

Nice to hear everyone is prepping by doing their due dilligence. Nicer to hear that rookies like Bucky Irving will slip thru.

They will. Possibly more than usual with this class. While I only see those 3-5 that SHOULD be big time contributors, no amount of film study will catch those hidden gems, if it did, guys like Bucky Irving, Terrel Davis, Arian Foster, Priest Holmes and on and on and on, would've all been drafted higher. This class could have more than a few 'Bucky Irving's", or it could have a star or two and a shit load of Will Shipley's and Kendre Miller's.

Tough to say

I still think Ray Davis will turn out to be one of the best of last year's draft.

I've got him as well in the same league as Bucky - but only took him because he was Cooks B/U - and looked pretty decent.

I mean maybe, it's possible. He's got a nice road block in his way for the time being though

Bills publicly standing firm in not extending Cook so far. Could just be tough talk, but Cook did list his buffalo home for sale, which also could just be coincidence. Lotta smoke that an RB change could happen

Let's face it, the kid is trying to reset the RB market at his asking price. Will BUF bite the bullet or move on ? Big question mark there - is he good ? sure, is he irreplaceable ? probably not. But strange things happen in the NFL. ....

I'd bet buffalo does not pay top dollar for RB as long as Allen is still in his prime, but agree that stranger things have and will happen in the league

yeah it's an interesting situation- thus the 'for the time being' qualifier to my thoughts :)

Lots could happen between now and next March1st.
Cook could solidify himself as a stud and make himself irreplicable- doubtful but maybe
Cook could miss some time and Davis steps in and ends up proving he's not the guy, and Buffalo decides they'd better cave
or the opposite could happen and Davis gives Cook the ol' Wally Pip treatment
or, in a worst case scenario from our standpoint, Davis proves himself, but they re-sign Cook anyways and have a three headed monster with only the QB scoring TD's..uggh

About the only certainty for the time being is that it's James Cook's job until it isn't

According to the chart in the 2025 chart thread... Buffalo was 2nd in QB TD scoring in the league. But they were tied for 4th in RB TD scoring. Their TE and WR TD suffered.
