To those who said the season wasn't over when we lost Bradford, how about now? Starting to think that Fisher should be fired as should Schotty and immediately. Maybe we should make Williams the coach, he can start another bounty program, maybe that will get them to play better(just kidding, sort of). This team was just not prepared to play, again.

This season has nothing to do with Bradford, the guy has never accomplished anything in this league. This is about 53 guys not showing up, led by ineffective coaching.

Hey LongtimeRamsFan, I'll give 'em to the bye week to reassess my pronouncement that the season wasn't over with Bradford going down. There is a lot more going on with this team than just the QB issue. We shall see what happens in Tampa next week.

While I'm not a fan of Bradford myself(I wanted Suh in that draft), and i do agree he's accomplished basically nothing in the NFL. However, he was still a better option at QB than Hill or Davis. Fisher is an idiot for not either drafting or getting a solid backup in FA, especially since Bradford was coming off major knee surgery. As for ineffective coaching, I covered that in the post you reponded to, our coaching is awful, a joke.

Yep, Matthews looks good ( not like the FO didn't know his bloodline ) and Martin is starting at G for the Boys and looks good as well.

Our G/project LT looks lost and barely plays.

If we were going to take an o-lineman near the top of this past draft, Matthews was the guy I wanted. I had never even heard of Robinson until the combine and workouts started

Oh and in other news. Just to put a cherry on the icing.
Zach Martin is starting at guard for the boys. And has a great preseason so far. And it looks like that's carrying over into the regular season. Way to pick em.

I'm not saying fisher is great. But the FO has big time picks that haven't even PLAYED but a few plays today.

Clowney? Started and making plays
Watkins? Started and making plays

Watkins had the same 3-31 that Austin had.

Clowney sustained a knee injury in the first half and didn't return.

That doesn't take away from the Rams stinking out the joint however. Embarrassing effort nearly all around. Can't give away free points like the pick 6 and Patterson TD run (where nearly the whole defense missed tackles on him). Other than that, the Rams defense was OK, keeping Peterson to mortal numbers and Quick appears to be finally emerging. Good thing, since Britt pulled an o-fer.

Strangely enough, offensive yardage was pretty equal. Turnovers, an obscene amount of penalty yardage, gave up 5 sacks, and lost big plays 2-0.

There you go comparing stats to two totally different games.

At least Watkins played and at least blocked.

What did Gregg do? Who did Tavon block? Lol

Point is.

Our last 2 top 10 picks were barely on the field.

That's just helmet special

Good grief. That was ugly, but we Rams' fans are used to it.

Let's regroup and take it to Tampa Bay next week.

I actually watched the Bills game, and they largely ignored Sammy for the majority of the game, playing dink and dunk and running the ball. Believe me, he was my pick for the Rams at #2, but he didn't make much of an impact. The Bills survived by capitalizing on turnovers.

We know the situation with Robinson, they're taking it slow with him (but maybe not for long if Saffold's injury is anything). Austin's absence is on the coaching staff. They didn't run that much, but still can't find plays for Tavon? Makes no sense. You have to make the defense pay for coming after the QB that hard, and an elusive guy like Tavon should be an easy choice. It only takes one big play to get the defense guessing; that's pretty much what Patterson did - the one big run for a TD where the hole Rams defense grasped at air (sickening).

I was at the Eagles game today so I was scoreboard watching. The Eagles were down 17-0 at half. I kept thinking the Rams at home would come back just like the Eagles. Guess not. Anyway, I have my tickets for the game in Philly. Hopefully we get our act together by then. Hard place to be a fan of visitor.
