I have to think it would be more environmentally friendly to hold the game in Minnesota, (which would please a certain Giants fan on this site).

Makes sense. I've been wondering all week where they would move it to. I was originally thinking Santa Clara but when I stopped and thought about it, the air quality probably isn't all that great up the entire coast. Zona makes the most sense.

They needed to move it far enough away to avoid interfering with people dealing with the fires.
Most of the people in the area who would normally work things like security/traffic for the game are busy with that.

There are a lot of Vikings fans in Arizona. They bring it when the Vikings play the Cardinals.
