Nice, never heard of him. A 4th/7th, for a 2012 1st rounder? I guess that's not a bad deal! Lets just hope he can tackle!

And here's the Panic Trade...

...and I actually kind of like it. Barron isn't going to be anyone flashy but he's a starter level player for the secondary. One of Alabama's 'can't miss' guys who...well...missed in TB. Should be physical enough to be a hybrid kind of player that would fit the system. Certainly not going to be a lockdown physical guy or anything.

The offense is still a trainwreck, though...

Don't know if this trade is worth it or not. He hasn't lived up to his hype so he definitely got traded to the right team. But is he worth a 4th round and a Michael Sam (7th round) I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Meh... it's a lateral move, at best. Barron has been an underachiever in Tampa. We could have gotten a safety of his caliber in the 4th round of next year's draft, without giving up a 6th as well.

It's a pointless move, if ya ask me.

HOLY SHIT WE GOT A THUMPER!!

Our FO finally pulled off a sweet deal for a top 15 pick and one helluva hitter for basically a 4th rounder? The way we draft??!! lol

HOLY SHIT that makes our safeties pretty sick. He needs to improve a bit in coverage, but like I said.. the boy can stick!

Some of you are crazy, this guy will be a beast SS and TJ can play FS. He's a beast.

Wait and see. This boy hits like Ronnie Lott.

He was 2nd on TB in tackles if that tells you anything AND he comes to a much better D-line.

Did I mention he was an animal?

Well SJ I've come to the conclusion that Peyton Manning, Jerry Rice, Emmit Smith and Bruce Smith could come here and regress under this coaching staff.

I agree with you Jacob. But it might be fun to watch 2 good safeties hittin people, I can guarantee you that.

If Trumaine can come back, along with Chris Long and our LB's improve... This D could get really good.

Another thing I can guarantee you is that WR's are going to be looking over their shoulders when going over the middle.

I dont remember seeing Ronnie Lott when we played Tampa Bay earlier this year.

I will say that he might have been in the wrong system. Even Revis was kinda 'meh' in TB

You will see some big fucking hits soon.

What has anyone seen in TB lately? And I said he hits like Lott... he's not Ronnie Lott. He will blow some people up.

Think about being a Tampa Bay fan? They have 2 stud safeties, but the rest on D?

I am stoked.

Tampa Bay has a good defense with holes. If you could combine TBs best defensive players and STL's best defensive players, youd have one heck of a unit.

This is about opportunity cost, though. Barron's upside is so much better than a 4th rounder

7th overall pick in the 2012 draft, national champion.. another young and talented player.

AND an upgrade at safety. It will be fun to watch these 2 safeties in the secondary. They could be quite the tandom.

And they way we draft..? lol what's a 4th and a 6th for that kind of talent?

I LOVE the move. The kid is a good player, I don't care what he did at Tampa stats wise. We need someone who can hit hard, and he's from Bama - the kid played against talented competition and EXCELLED! I think he can do the same in St. Louis. A defender like that (if he plays to his potential) could be a 10 year starter, not saying Barron will be, but he still has potential left in his tank. I'm excited.
