Not gonna lie, having 9 games against 2023 playoff teams is gonna make for a very tough schedule. It is nice to see that we get the Cowboys, Lions and Chiefs at home though. Still having to take cross country road trips to Miami, Buffalo, and Tampa are going to be rough.

Yep, the 1st place teams have the toughest schedule. Two games that are different from other NFC West teams, are play-off teams. What we don't know yet are Thursday games when and against whom? We don't know yet how 'back to back' games playout, for example two East coast games in a row followed by KC.

No doubt a tougher schedule but rather come in 1st place. :-)

Hopefully the Buffalo game is early in the season. Packers will be a Thursday in October, seems like we get them on primetime games early in the season.

Yep, gotta hope we can avoid going to the northern teams during the frigid times.

There is almost no doubt that we'll end up with at least one 2-game east-coast road trip where we stay in Ohio or NY or something so we don't have to play on the EC and then fly back to SF only to turn around and fly back to the EC the following week. It's one of the scheduling problems that are built in for practically all west coast teams. It's unfair, but it is what it is.

The overall schedule looks damned tough too.

The schedule looks very tough. But we are used to it, this seasons travel wasn't that great either playing at Washington and at Jacksonville.

1st place teams have 1st place schedules, so can't complain. :-)

If i recall correctly, this means two tougher teams the 49ers play that the Rams, Seahawks, and Cardinals don't.

When is the 2024 NFL Schedule Release?
We don't know exactly when the NFL will announce the 2024 regular season schedule yet, but we can make some educated guesses based on past releases.

Based on past release dates, NFL fans can expect to see 2024 NFL season dates in early May, typically on a Thursday. Perhaps Thursday, May 9 might be the best guess at the NFL Schedule Release date.

Generally, you want the tough NFC opponents at home in case it comes down to a tie-breaker for seeding. Another tough road game is Green Bay so if given a choice, I'd have rather play Green Bay at home and KC away. Oh well, just talking out loud.

It always start with the NFC West games, so that's our first goal.

All things being equal, I see 10 wins, maybe 11. That's enough to get to the post season.

Buffalo always finds ways to lose big games. This probably won't be any different.

depends on if these 10 or 11 wins include enough NFC West wins?

Right now its hard to how many wins we get? The 49ers brought in multiple guys on defense and then you have yet another new (first time) Coordinator. Sometimes too many new players don't quite mesh as well as you planned, ie early season struggles are possible.

The offense will need to score and this means the O-line needs to come thru with consistency..

Agreed. Their defense is a mess. It was astonishing how bad they were at pressuring the passer with all the emphasis they put on the D line
