I always wonder what Stafford would have been if had he gone to a different team. His arm talent is undeniably elite, but his entire career was spent trying to carry a team that lacked talent. You can't spend a decade straight trying to make a play where there isn't one and undo that conditioning after 1 year.

Are the bad decisions something that would have always been there? Or are they there because he was Lionized? I think the next 2 years will answer that question.

Good to know! That is not always preclude winning. Most of the elite QB's tend to take care of the ball. However, Favre, Marino, Elway show that you can be successful and a slinger. The next 3 years or so will define his career way more than the first 12.

Two more years aren't needed to answer. They're definitely not because he was Lionized (which is not to say he wasn't Lionized; every player that comes through is to some degree). Stafford's pro career has followed his college scouting report like a script. Great arm, questionable decision-making, poor touch, doesn't win the big game.
