Given the timing of everything, it doesn't sound like Smith will be available for Chicago.

and if he isn't available, don't force it. go ahead and play Kap.

it is a given Kap won't be "All Pro" given his lack of plaing time, but a win depends on the TEAM. we still need the rest of the players to up their game.....offense, defense and special teams.

1974 Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3-1). They defeated the 10-4 Minnesota Vikings by a score of 16-6 in Super Bowl IX.

Prior to that, the 1970 Baltimore Colts (11-2-1). They defeated the 10-4 Dallas Cowboys by a score of 16-13 in Super Bowl V.

Before that, the 1967 Green Bay Packers (9-4-1). They defeated the 13-1 Oakland Raiders by a score of 33-14 in Super Bowl II.

Yeah, the Chicago D is pretty nasty as well, so no need feeding him to the wolves. I think with Kaep starting his legs can help against that a bit. At least keep them a little honest. And Cutler might be out as well so that one might be who can make the least mistakes. I guess that goes for just about any game though.
