I think the extension was a good gesture from Stan for Fisher moving the team to LA. They just didn't plan on the wheels coming off so fast and Fisher would coach till the new stadium was ready then Stan would hire a big name coach to make a big splash for the opening season. It's usual for contract extensions to be announced at least the middle point of the season, not after four games, mostly if you think you should be contending

I don't think they expected Fisher to last that long, just until the end of 2017(at most)...2018 we HAVE to be good to attract people to the new stadium in 2019 and Fisher most DEFINITELY wasn't suited for that...

Probably. 2018 was an option year for Fisher. I believe Stan can pay him or not. I can't believe this guy is going to make 7m next year fishing somewhere.
