The Rams have exercised the fifth-year option of defensive end Robert Quinn, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
Quinn, taken No. 14 overall, is the 12th player from the draft class of 2011 to have his option picked up, and for his trouble, St. Louis will pay him $6.969 million for the 2015 season.
The move, of course, must have been an easy one for the Rams.
Quinn has become one of the best defenders in the game -- sometimes he reminds us of Hall of Famer Deacon Jones, whose dominance you can see here -- and Quinn recorded 19 sacks, 18 tackles for a loss and seven forced fumbles in 2013.
