Barkley is at it again. He had another 60-yard dash for a TD in the NFC Championship game against the Redskins. And to think we could have signed this guy!! Pisses me right off!!
Possibly as well but then would coach use him properly? Or would mcVay just try and pass it 40 times

Sorry Retro, I dont think the Rams whiffed on Barkley? Williams is one of the best backs in the league, no he's not Henry or Barkley, but still pretty dam good! Barkley only had 1 good year in the last 4 years, also scored 18 rushing Td's in the last 4 years, hell Williams had 12 last year and 14 this year?
Sure, could the Rams have used the 2025 version of Barkley, absolutely, but we dont know if Barkley would have even wanted to come to LA and be in a running back by committee situation? I think he chose the Eagles because they had the best chance of going to a SB and thats what its all about!!

Barkley had like 2,700 yards over the past 4 years, the Eagles obviously hit gold with him this year, he had a great year, but with the Rams he's not getting over 2,000 yards this year!. Hindsight is 20/20

Hey Retro, just my opinion as always?

We are just getting decimated by other teams who are poaching nearly all of our new coaches that McVay brought in just one year ago and we are not getting compensated, not one iota by the League. It would not be so bad but many teams are exclusively raiding the Rams coaching Staff and no other. This is getting to be a problem that should be address by that idiot Commissioner Goodell!

it really doesn't make any sense besides teams are too impatient to wait for Coaches on superbowl teams. Why poach from a team barely in the playoffs when you could steal from the Chiefs/Eagles?

Think RW and Seattle just needed to part ways. Just like Carroll and Seattle.

Sometimes change is needed.

RW had issues with Carroll, wanted to go somewhere he could "cook". His future teams ultimately did not agree.

It's an RW thing, not Carroll or Seattle IMO.

Hell, I would take whatever QB Pitt doesn't keep.

Fields helps the running game and if Carroll hires a good OC (that's his biggest decision right now)I think Fields could be developed. The Bears were a fucked up place when he was there.

We're 4 years and 2 teams in with Fields now. Do you really think there is still upside left? At some point he simply is what he is. If you want a guy that can run when pressured, sure. He could be a bridge QB that won't negatively affect your future draft slots too much so that you can continue to rebuild through the draft. I don't think he's enough of an upgrade over O'Connell or Pornstache to not pursue a QB in the next draft or two.

Ok I see now.

Minshew is good but he's like a Ryan Fitzpatrick type a guy I guess. He'll bounce around a lot.

AOC could be a stop bridge QB, if needed.

When Carroll went to Seatle he drafted RW. Thing is, many analysts are saying this is a horrible QB class.

RW was drafted on day 2 though, not exactly a repeatable plan moving forward. Odds on picking the right guy drop quickly after the first round.

I do like McCord as a potential day 2 pick, but at least part of that is being a Syracuse homer lol.

possible...but football is an outdoor sport and elements are a part of the game. We can't be a team that only wins when its sunny in California, rams need to be that team to win in the snow, rain, sleet, all the crazy shit. Learn to get it out of the mud type stuff.

I wouldn't blame it on the weather. It wasn't weather that allowed those 3 huge rushing TDs. Gap responsibility by the linebackers and safeties was largely absent. One you can explain away by being caught off guard, someone slipped, etc. 3 is damning, let alone having these errors in both games vs the Eagles this season. Yet they still had a chance inside the 20 with a little time left, oddly enough.

Well, he's running though enormous holes and going untouched on most of those big plays. Any RB with a 2nd gear could get similar results behind that line IMO.
