damn....looks like Dallas is trying to get Fitzpatrick from the Dolphins. Seems like we should have jumped on that trade wagon instead of dealing with the dipshit Peters..
Dolphins want a first for him. I think the first person that gives them that or something just as enticing gets him.

Sean Payton is putting the loss on his O-line, I put it on our D-line. The Rams D won this game and it won't be their last win. The Rams may have the best defense in the league this season. No where to throw the ball and no where to run with scrappy Rams swiping at the ball as they tackle. Weddle is a mind reader and smells out the plays. Huge improvement from a decent Defense they fielded last season.

Rams’ Tyler Higbee taken to hospital after coughing up blood

We become desensitized to injury news in football, hearing about so many ankles and arms and knees and thumbs, that we plug the normal timeframe into the machine and proceed.

Then there’s Rams tight end Tyler Higbee.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Higbee left yesterday’s game with a chest injury, and went to the hospital out of what was termed precaution.

There, doctors found a lung injury that had him coughing up blood.

Rapoport helpfully notes that “While he may miss time, it won’t be much.”

That’s good news for the Rams, I suppose, even if it perhaps undersells the importance of the internal organs which deliver life-giving oxygen to your blood.

The Starting 11: The Most Convincing—and Surprising—NFC Performances Through Week 2

1. After a convincing 27-9 win over the Saints, the Rams once again look like the class of the NFC. The Rams earned a victory in Sunday’s NFC championship rematch, beating a Saints team that was led by Teddy Bridgewater for three quarters after Drew Brees went down with a thumb injury. Now with a 2-0 record, Brees likely to be on the shelf for at least the next six weeks, and the Eagles falling to the Falcons on Sunday night, Los Angeles may have the inside track to the top seed in the NFC.

Following a shaky start to the season in a 30-27 road win over Carolina, Jared Goff looked significantly better in his first home game. A 57-yard deep shot to Brandin Cooks on a third-and-16 early in the first quarter and a short strike to Cooks for a 2-yard touchdown in the third were his best throws of the day, and on the whole, the Rams quarterback was significantly sharper than he was against the Panthers in Week 1.

The Rams’ win against the Saints—even without Brees on the field for most of the game—was a reminder of just how talented and well coached this roster really is. McVay has added some new wrinkles to his scheme after the late-season struggles the Rams experienced last year, including more wide receiver screens near the red zone and noticeably more three-receiver sets. But the hallmarks of what makes this system so difficult to defend have remained. In the second quarter, the Rams called a toss play to Todd Gurley on first-and-10 that went for 20 yards around the right end. Two plays later, Goff faked an identical-looking pitch before hitting Robert Woods for an easy 14-yard completion to the New Orleans 11-yard line. When this offense is clicking, every facet works in concert; two games into the season, the Rams’ scheme once again looks like a headache for even the league’s best defenses.

Well, the Stillers gave up a 2020 number 1 for Minkah Fitzpatrick so he is gone.
I'm starting to wonder if the Dolphins can even beat some of those XFL squads that are being put together at this point. But with Ben going down for the year, the Dolphins could get a high pick as a return.

The Dolphins have made it quite clear they are going full rebuild mode. They are deliberately tanking to get the number one overall pick and they are stockpiling as many picks as they can this coming draft and the next two drafts.

We are pretty much set everywhere. If Blythe can't go this week against Cleveland, Demby will get the start and the young dude we got from SF/Cardinals Shelton and/or David Edwards will be back-up.
