Wouldn't doubt it. Then Stan does the same thing. Man.. It kills a fan base tho

What really ticked me off was there was NO fan support at any of our home games! We had no home field advantage what so ever! One thing is for certain, there will be an advantage in LA!

Even with all the season tickets sold, there figures to be a decent amount of CA & AZ team fans at the games in LA for the simple fact that there have been so many here who have moved on to different teams or grew up watching the Raiders, 9ers, Cards or Chargers as their team of choice. (In that order & there is also a decent number of Cowboy fans in LA)

Especially if NFC West faces the AFC West soon and we host the Raida's. That said, I'm guessing the NFL may wait on the 2019 season so both the Chargers and Raiders can see and play in the stadium they passed on in it's inaugural season.

Honestly, I plan to take a beating here on the hoop because I am sure we will see plenty of Cowboy fans in the stands for the season opener here in LA. To what extent? I have no clue.

Speculative articles are beginning to surface suggesting Pete Carroll may be headed toward the Rams for his next coaching gig. Some dude at his desk who is summer-bored is apparently writing this crap. Anything is possible, I suppose but Kroneke better make sure he includes the caveat that Williams stays no matter who is the HC.

Could Pete Carroll become the Rams head coach in 2017?

What was it like in LA before the Rams moved the STL tho? I seem to remember LA fans not going either.

Sure, we weren't very good at that time. The fans booed and wore bags on their heads. A lot of empty seats for sure. But it is different now, they are a new team coming back home and have a fresh start. This is IMO another excuse to fill seats, but they better find a way to win soon or else Stan will have a brand new stadium with no fan support, and its too late to build a Walmart there!

You are only remembering the final Queen Idiot years from 1979 - 1994. It was more revolt, than anything else.

For the most part during the Rams ~50 years, LA set League attendance records year in and year out nearly doubling the league averages over a 10 year span. (First in attendance from 1951 to 1960)

That by far is what LA should be remembered for.

From 1946 to 1978 while Carroll Rosenbloom was alive and owner of the LA Rams, we were in the bottom half of league attendance averages ONE time! (1965, LA was 13th of 22 teams)

s-l300.jpg

After Carroll's death early in 1979, Georgia owned the LA Rams from 1979 to 1994, of those years the Rams were only above the league average for 5 seasons (80', 81', 86', 89' & 90') however never better than 10th of 28 teams.

In Georgia's final years in LA, it got real ugly...
  • 1991 - 22 of 28
  • 1992 - 25 of 28
  • 1993 - 25 of 28
  • 1994 - 28 of 28

I was just going to say the same about Caroll Rosembloom! He was a great owner! He loved football and he loved his RAMS! I only wished we could get another owner like this!

Ouch that hurt SJ, but Vita is right.:bawling: I was lucky to go to many games in the Coliseum in my youth especially and it seemed so big ya know. It did fill up and although the Rams were on both sides of the winning and losing, the fans came. The Queen bitch did hurt the franchise and we all hope that the Rams resurface to a winner.

I meant it in a good way blue. Lots of wisdom in here I like it. I don't know a lot about the Rams pre Dickerson and Ellard

You missed our 1st super bowl in 79, it was a nail biter. We had a bunch of street fighters on defense! Jack Youngblood played that game with a broken leg! ......God Bless him!

Everyone needs to also remember that we OWNED the NFC West from about 1974 to 1980. We had, what, 7-8 straight division titles and we would face either Minnesota or Dallas every year in the NFC finals. That pass from Vince Ferragamo to Drew Hill over the middle against Dallas IN Dallas was a defining moment. I remember yelling so loud, I nearly blew a gasket!

No worries. If we capture the history and equity of those old unis, you'll have sell-outs at home for years to come!

I'll do you one better. A super duper mega sized Wal-Mart inside the stadium. So the fans can stay and still spend money on the grounds if the team sucks and they don't want to watch the games.
