Hindsight is always 20/10 and in this case, not getting the trade-up for Bowers is going to be a blessing in disguise. The three players the Rams got instead are going to be huge. Going after Bowers was really counter-productive in the long run because McVay has yet to see what the triplet of Parkinson, Long, and Allen can do in this year's TE position.

Yeah, Retro, I would have been pissed with the trade to get Bowers.

Guy is good, but not worth the cost to trade up for him.

And the track record for rookie 1st round TE’s isn’t great.

This looks about right. Our LB core is just horrendous.

no where in that article is there a common sense statement that says Michael Hoyt should be moved back to DT where he belongs. The guy is not a LB, I REPEAT FOR THE CURRENT BONE HEAD DC and to the rest of the idiots in the back, A 6-4 310 LB DT CANNOT PLAY LB!!!

Gilmore is still available. The Rams would have to come up with the right cash to get him.

You are spot on Jermaine and Henderson isn't around to defend Hoecht and keep him where he belongs at DT. If that idiot Shula insists on playing him at LB (EDGE is not a good spot and neither is ILB), than we are going to continue to watch the destruction of a decent player's career.

Bunch of damn coaching douchebags, if you ask me. Put Hoecht back at DT and leave him there. The Rams have enough very good to good young EDGE rushers. They don't need Hoecht at EDGE.

If the Rams would stop CYAing this to death and find some really decent ILBs, this would not be an issue!!

I think the improved depth should make this a non-issue. Hoecht should be back to DL.

Here is a great game to watch from the 1985 Rams with John Robinson HC. This game against Dallas featured Eric Dickerson setting a new Rams Playoff rushing record behind a very good O-line such as Bill Bain, Jackie Slater, Dennis Harrah, Tony Slaton, Doug Smith, Kent Hill, and Irv Pankey. We had to suffer through a year with a douchebag of a ragarm QB in Dieter Brock.

This game also features a Bud Carson defense. It was damn good. It was Kevin Green's rookie year. We had a very good and tough D-Line with Gary Jeter, Reggie Doss, Kevin Greene, Charles DeJurnett, Greg Meisner, and Doug Reed, LBing core was with guys like Mike Wilcher, Jim Collins, Carl Ekern, Mel Owens, Jim Laughlin, and Mark Jerue. Our Secondary was very good with Nolan Cromwell, Johnnie Johnson, Jerry Gray, Leroy Irvin, Gary Greene, Vince Newsome, and Tim Fox.

It is a really good game as we kicked the crap out of the Caboys on our way to a game against the '85 Bears. Go to Youtube and enter Eric Dickerson's name. It is the full game. Enjoy!!

There are several names on here that should be considered for future Rams roster spots. Simmons, Gilmore, Ngakoue, LB, Leonard, and OT Bakhtiari. everyone else, No.

I wish there was hope for Shaq Leonard, but seems like his injuries have washed him out.

The Saints just cut Nathaniel Latu. Oklahoma State DE/EDGE. He is the Rams size and speed. 6'4, 270lbs. Should call his agent and get him in!

Another good game with John Robinson, ED, that big and great O-line, and that tough Bud Carson D. This game was Jack Youngblood's last as he retired in 1984. This was the wildcard game against the Geeants in 1984. If you want to see the Jumbo offense in action featuring ED and two to three TEs, this whole game is an expose on the Jumbo offense by John Robinson.

White's status does not sound good if you ask me

"He's making good progress. He was able to partake in the walkthrough. It's obviously a significant injury that he's overcome. He's gotten a lot of good stuff done on the side. You could see he's really locked in and engaged in the meeting setting. As far as what his actual process will be in training camp, we'll see where he's at. He does such a great job, understands his body, and so I don't think we want to pigeonhole ourselves into one approach. Alright, how's he feeling? What does it look like relative to when (Head Team Physician) Neal ElAttrache checks up on him and what's going to be the best thing for him, not only for hopefully being ready to go for the opener, but for the totality of the season." – McVay on June 11, on White's status
