What is it with Cam Akers? Didn't McVay get all pissed off a couple years ago with Akers and bench him in some games?

Is the trade rumor coming up because of his attitude or just ability? Curious what you guys think... was surprised the trade rumors were coming up.

I know Kyren looks decent but he's pretty small for a runningback. Surprised they would ditch Akers.

Well, first Akers got pissed a couple of years ago complaining pass-happy McShitferBrains was noy giving Akers enough touches. He pouted and dogged it. Then he wanted traded. McShitferBrains tried to accommodate him to no avail. Then Akers blows out his Achilles. Then, he rushed back too soon and the explosiveness was gone. Then he shows up this year in camp with added weight and claims he wants to be the Number One guy but he was even slower than before and Kyren Williams has outplayed him this year by a wide margin. Now McShitferBrain benched because of his poor attitude, slow running, can't find the hole even with hair around it, and just pouting and dragging his ass. McShitferBrains benched him again on Sunday in favor of the mini might Williams and Akers goes public claiming he's the victim. McShitferBrains doesn't tolerate dumbasses so they are going to get rid of the dude, hopefully through trade!!

That was very thorough Retro. Thanks for the download of info :suds:

I figured it was something to do with his attitude (cause that was an issue), but didn't know he showed up overweight this year.

Anchrum appears to be this year's Bobby Evans. Maybe it's time to send him packing like Evans and work on developing a better player like Zach Thomas or Grant Miller. Both are on our PS.

Notebum is going to play Monday with his deeply bruised shoulder but it won't be too long before Kevin Dotson will be our RG the rest of the way.
That is surprising considering how well Anchrum played in the preseason.

He claimed that the extra muscle was his idea to be the Number One guy but the real issue is Akers never fully recovered from the Achilles injury and now he is bigger and way slow! Out the door!

This would be a good move if egos continue to get along. Could be the next coach??!! One thing for sure, the ShitferBrains twins know how to continue to spend the Limp Biscuits' money with all the dead money they are paying ex-players! Adding a good coach is no big deal!!

Once again, why the obsession with undersized players when here is a list of squatty big dudes along the D-line that could be developed into studs since the Rams like developing raw talent??!! Seriously, some of these dudes would be great additions since right now Hoecht is a total bust and some of the other backups are not being played enough to make a serious contribution like Murchison!!

yeah i don't know what they were thinking by having a 310 lb DT play OLB, very stupid decision.

I just saw that.
"The deal, which is pending a physical, includes a swap of 2026 draft picks, with the Vikings also getting a conditional seventh-round pick and the Rams getting a conditional sixth-rounder"

2026???

The Vikings also signed ex-Bronco guard Dalton Risner who I was screaming for the ShitferBrains twins to sign earlier in the season!!

Terms of the trade. We ship Akers and a conditional Seventh Rounder to the Vikings and get back a conditional Sixth Rounder. The pick swap takes place in the 2026 draft.

Now play Z. Evans and R. Freeman more and sign a couple of those big D-lineman from the list I posted earlier!!
