#H9Csuck!
Outside the metrics, this was exactly what I was saying. As they point out, although Matt was sacked 5 times, not all should be pitted on the Offensive Line.Well, this is good news. I hope this team shows-up Monday Night in San Francisco.
Metrics show the Rams are dominating the trenches on both sides of the ball
The Rams have been dominant in the trenches on both sides of the ball through the first nine weeks.theramswire.usatoday.com
In other words, as I mentioned on the game thread, Matt was hanging onto the ball early on and/or as many here pointed out, the play calling wasn't mixing in the run enough and taking what the defense was giving them despite the offensive line winning big on run plays. Don't expect Henderson to run away from anybody, just shimmy through the offensive line's push and find the holes to move the chains or keep it to short and manageable.
I think Sean's aversion with running the ball early, in large, lays on Matt's plate. Matt admits to being a slow starter, so it just makes sense to get him going, and into a rhythm.
With that in mind, I believe the Titans committed to playing the Rams offense like they had a huge lead, pinned their ears back, and didn't let the Rams beat them over the top from the first down the Rams offense played on Sunday Night. Makes sense to me, as the Rams were running the ball a better clip than normal.
Oh well, all they can do is learn from this and move forward. It's time for Sean to beat the 49ers like his team is favored to do!
