Checking on some recent ex-Rams. Kenny Young is having a pedestrian-type day: One tackle, three assists so far. Micah Kiser is on the Broncos' Injured Reserve list done for the year. Nothing spectacular from either and both transactions favor the Rams at this point.

Dude, I think ya missed my post over on the game thread where I mentioned the Jones pick was the better of that pick and Atwell's. It is there but it is buried in a rant about the Atwell/Jackson issue.

No one likes the Atwell pick but look at the rest..

Jones ILB he’s ready now
Rochell CB he got thrown into action becasue Long is awful
Bobby Brown DT we haven’t even seen becasue he’s buried on the depth chart
Jacob Harris TE he’s not ready
Jake Funk RB was looking good for a rookie until injury
Ben Skowronek WR this could be another gem

Oh I agree. Brown isn't going to play because SJD, A-Rob, AD, and Gaines are all playing pretty well and your notion you floated earlier about rooks doing some watching and learning def applies to Brown. Funk was going to have a pretty good year until he nearly ripped his Hammie from its moorings and Harris is close but he'll do some watching and learning especially since Blanton has been promoted. TE play is doing quite well despite losing Mundt. Jones, Rochelle, and Skowronek are playing lights-out so yea, McSnead did pretty well in their draft overall despite what is happening with Atwell.

Myles Jack is the LB everyone is speculating will be the next trade. The trade will be with Jacksonville, re-uniting Jack with Ramsey to make our D move to the next level. I hope we don't give away draft assets out-the-wazoo to get this guy and I don't know how the Rams are going to afford his salary with just under 6 mil cap space.

I never liked the way the NFL allows the poaching of PS players. It seems there should be some sort of safe-guard when the poached team is committed to the development of the player.
