I don't know if anyone knows that answer, ALR. That it is why what the Rams are doing is speculated upon by sports pundits who have to provide substance to a story that no one knows what may happen.

Cleveland has been mentioned but they haven't confirmed anything.

I think this is another PR stunt by McSnead to cover the inevitable realization that the Rams wasted yet another draft pick on a chronic injury-laden player who hasn't done much to add to the defense from the LBing Corp and will probably be released outright. Pity.

This article explains the predicament the Rams are now facing. I smell a disaster about to unfold as the Rams have already cut a WR that had a great preseason. That being Jeremy Haydel who had an excellent KO return against the Broncos among other great plays he has had all preseason.

I suspect Haydel and Kolone will be brought back on September 1 for the PS. The real problem is who goes on the year-long IR and which injured players go on the 53-man roster to be eligible to return to the playing roster once their injuries are completed.

Here is the crux of the conundrum:

"Right now, the LA Rams have Ben Skowronek, Cam Akers, Terrell Lewis, and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo who could eventually be assigned to injured reserve. But to be available at some time in the 2021 season, they will need to be on the 53-man roster. Confusing? Yes".

Well dumbasses, put Akers, Lewis, and OKO on the year-long IR because you already traded away draft picks to get a RB to cover Akers loss and you don't want to rush him back and the rest will be injured again during the season anyways, especially Lewis and probably OKO, so...

Are these douchebags watching the same players in the preseason? Haydel is listed in this article as not being impressive in those games. What?

I think Olumba, Haydel, Kolone, and Harris will end-up on the PS.

Problem on the WR side is how many do you keep? Woods, Kupp, Jefferson, D. Jackson, Atwell and T. Jackson are most likely the top 6. DeSean is on long call from the IR, but I don't see how 7 WRs can make it. Not a good idea to keep 3 RB's or 3 TE's to keep a 7th WR to return kicks. Good players being cut is starting to show decent depth.

Rams are keeping Perkins per sources.

They will carry 3 QB's after all

They will probably keep Hekker and Bojorquez as well because the Rams could not find a trading partner for Hekker and his QB skills are too valuable to just dump through a release. So they got him to restructure his contract to keep Hekker and that means Bojorquez will go to the PS.

Trade: Rams sent P Corey Bojorquez and a 2023 7th-round pick to the Packers in exchange for a 6th-round pick in 2023, per source.

This was a good move. Sounds like Corey B had more trade value than Hekker and we got a 6th in 2023, along with Johnny H restructuring.

Now we have Four, sixth rounders (after the compensatory picks are awarded) as we traded our own sixth rounder to the Patriots in the Michel trade. This Sixth Rounder we got for Bojorquez isn't ours until 2023.

Hekker restructured his contract but the message is clear. You'd better get off the schnide and boom some 70-yardes when needed.

Here is a guy the Rams should place a claim for. Released by Cleveland. Help fill in the roster spot left by A-Rob going on IR (maybe).

Here is the final 53-man roster. Three surprises: 1) They kept injured players on the active roster; 2) Trishton Jackson and Colton Shelton got screwed as they kept Skowronek over Jackson and Allen over Shelton; 3) They kept Brycen Hopkens. They should have cut Allen and Hopkins and kept Shelton and Jackson. Hopefully Jackson will be back on the PS. Shelton was placed on the virus squad and should be back as the starter because the Rams are going to find out that Allen is a waste of a Center.

Here is another perspective on this roster. After further review, it is pretty deep in all areas with a couple of exceptions. I am glad they kept Perkins. Perkins is going to be our QB of the future as he can run and his arm is real good. Better decision-making and crisper passing are on his plate for the future. The D-Line is flat-out loaded. Middle LB still looks a bit lean but the fact they kept Allen over Shelton perhaps may change going forward.

Love me some Big Marv. Crazy to me he didn’t get drafted and now has been cut. Dude was a top 2 player coming out of high school. Cam Akers was the other one in that same class top 3
