It's going to be a very interesting off season.
Be smart Rams.
Be smart Rams.
Yep. Those bums across the hall. That is highway robbery. That was the best scenario as he doesn't have to move family again. We now get more comp picks. McVay also stated today every position is under analysis and that Goff will have to earn his roster spot and his starter designation next year. I think something is afoot with the Texans. Watson maybe a Ram before we all know it.
I think you might be right Shark. Maybe McVay is trying to light a fire under zombie boy's butt to get him to get motivated like in 2018 because Wolford is just that firebrand McVay wants.
Mmm... I think the dead cap from Goff is WAAAAAY too high this year. The Rams are stuck with him for AT LEAST one more year. Dead cap would be $65M and Watson would NOT come cheap. I don't see the Rams affording Watson to be honest and there's no way the Texans are going to split a $65M dead cap (nor would any other team) while taking on a $34M cap hit.
I think the Rams are stuck with Jared "Goof" Goff for another 2 years.
Lol. You hope Goff is here next year. Get out of here with your wishes and dreams.
just like the Ramsey trade... “the RAMS WONT BE RELEVANT FOR YEARS”
Maybe we can make a trade with Miami and pick up Tua. They have plenty of cap space to absorb Goff's contract and a few of the guys there apparently aren't fans of his.Yep. I also feel like Everett is as good as gone. Two guys who SHOULD NOT be resigned are Brian Allen and Austin Blythe. Polite has already been released.
I was surprised the Chargers picked up Staley. I guess they wanted to get him since the guy I thought that they were wanting isn't going to be available at least for another week (the Bills OC) since he has helped Allen and he could've possibly done the same thing with Herbert. It'll be interesting to see where the Rams go in the offseason. You guys just lost Staley as well (I did NOT grade the Chargers very high in firing Lynn, but I guess if you're going to replace him Staley isn't bad. James/Bosa if they can stay healthy is definitely talent to work with).
But I think it just comes down to the fact the Rams are STUCK with Goff for at least another season due to financial reasons. I don't see how they can move him. I'm certainly not an NFL GM or an NFL financial manager so I can't speak to how it all works, but just doesn't seem to me it's possible at this point.
Is Wolford really the answer? I spent most of the game with Seattle/LA drunk because I was out of blood pressure meds, but is Wolford someone you guys really think can lead the team (actually honest question and asking)?

Staley went to a good situation.
they already have their franchise QB, and some good defensive players he can work with ( they haven’t even had their star safety for the past 2 seasons ).
and they have a high draft pick to build the roster more.
they get to play in the same stadium and he doesn’t have to move.
That was probably the 2nd best head coaching job opening on the market this season in my opinion, with Jacksonville being the best.Staley went to a good situation.
