This falls under ex-Rams players attempting to make yet another roster: The little turd is now a 49er. We may see that little worthless POS sooner or later as the 49ers have put Tavon Auston on injured reserve.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/49ers-place-wr-tavon-austin-195800775.html

Also, Alec Ogletree is trying out with the Bears this season after being cut by the Geeants. Janoris Jenkins is in the Saints camp but this is 8th year in the league and I doubt if he'll make the final cut. G-Rob is out of football. PERIOD!

Hammer at it again fellas. This place is gotten ghey. Rams board will always be great but he’s updated some things over there. SportsHoopla 2.0 ;)
I wouldn't be of much use over there since I'm not planning on watching any sports for a while.

Yep. These players were cut to get to 63 players. 10 of the remaining players go on the PS.

The Los Angeles Rams announced they have waived the following players:

DB Adonis Alexander
LB Daniel Bituli
TE Kendall Blanton
C Cohl Cabral
G Jamil Demby
WR Earnest Edwards
DB Jake Gervase
K Lirim Hajrullahu
DB Juju Hughes
RB John Kelly
G Jeremiah Kolone
WR J.J. Koski
DB Dayan Lake
K Austin MacGinnis
DB Tyrique McGhee
LB Derrick Moncrief
WR Easop Winston

The deadline for NFL teams to reduce their 80-man offseason rosters to 53 players is Saturday at 1 p.m. pacific time. With these moves, the Rams now have 63 players on their roster.

What I find interesting is they just signed LBs Bituli and Moncrief and brought back Gervase 8 days ago just get rid of all three. I guess Cabral couldn't beat out Allen at Center. They went with Coleman Shelton as the third string Center and kept that piece of garbage Allen.

Other notables is that alot of the draft picks this year made the roster and Polite is now on the active roster at LB. What a long road back from his start in the NFL. Kendall Blanton was playing as good or better than the other two TEs not named Gerald Everett or Tyler Higbee. Mundt adds the FB duties and they kept Brycen Hopkins, the kid from Purdue.

John Kelly goes out the door again as they kept X. Jones over Kelly. Demby finally has outstayed his welcome. Anchrum made the roster and that was no surprise. Sloman is our new kicker and Hajrullahu and MacGinnis are goneso.

Since McVay is still unsatisfied with his LBing corp, one of the guys that may end-up in a Rams uniform and was released today by the Broncos is Todd Davis. Since Davis played under Staley as the outside LB coach in Denver, Davis would be a logical addition as well as an upgrade to the LBing corp for us.

Cameron DeSilva once again shines the spotlight on our lame LBing crew and how the ignoring of this position for a very long time is going to be our Achilles heel this year. Apparently we have a boatload of talent in the secondary and Staley is willing to forego Linebackers in favor of a small army of very good secondary players. This leaves the D vulnerable to the run which is how teams have beat us badly in the past. There are some options but McVay just gets so myopic he doesn't see the bigger picture sometimes.

i wouldn’t say the position has been ignored Retro.

the Rams have addressed the position in the draft quite a bit, just not with 1st and 2nd round picks. And those are never guarantees either. Remember Aaron Curry? He was the sure-fire, can’t miss guy in the draft and everyone said the Seahawks got the steal of the draft when they took him 4th overall. We all know how that turned out.

If the Rams can turn an UDFA into a solid starting LBer ( Littleton ), why can’t they do the same with multiple 5th and 6th round guys?

Kiser was in line for a starting role last year before he got injured. Now he is healthy and reports from camp have been good.

The Rams have a dirth of young LBer’s. It’s time they get some PT and see what they have vs scraping up old vets on their last legs ( Mathews ).

I think 1 or 2 of those young players are going to surprise us, in a good way.

Most were expected as the Rams are going with just two QBs. Clay Johnston was a slight surprise but everyone else was expected.

Here is another angle.

The Los Angeles Rams announced they have waived the following players:

DT Marquise Copeland
DB Donte Deayon
DT Michael Hoecht
LB Clay Johnston
LB Natrez Patrick
QB Bryce Perkins
LB Christian Rozeboom
DE Jonah Williams

The Rams also waived/injured linebacker Justin Lawler. On Aug. 18, head coach Sean McVay said Lawler got his foot stepped on and was being evaluated.

Los Angeles has also placed linebacker Travin Howard on injured reserve. McVay announced earlier this week that Howard would miss the rest of the 2020 season with a torn meniscus.

Additionally, defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson has been placed on the reserve/non-football injury list.
With these moves, the Rams' roster is at 52 players.

Johnston was a surprise considering the Rams have need at LBer. Maybe they can get him on the practice squad

Sucks about Perkins. Was hoping he could be kept on the PS at least. Even if he didn’t make it as a QB, he has good speed if they wanted another RB. Just needs to work on his ball carrying skills some.

Many, if not all of the last cuts will end-up on the PS after they clear waivers. Perkins and Johnston certainly have a good likelihood of being Rams come Tuesday of next week.

We retained 9 rookies from this year's draft/FA on the 2020 roster. That means these are pretty darn good players. From Sloman to Akers, to Anchrum to Fuller, Burgess, Hopkins, Lewis, and Jones, these are every good players who will see significant playing time if they remain healthy. There might be more come Tuesday when Waivers are cleared.

Accept for Clay Johnston who left to play with the Panthers PS to be near his dad who is the strength conditioning coach, the Rams brought back just about everyone they cut in the first two roster-trimmings including QB Bryce Perkins. All of these players cleared waivers.

The Rams also added RB Raymond Calais from the Bucs PS and Justin Hollins an outside LB from the Broncos cast-offs who is re-uniting with Staley. By rules, both players must be on the 53-man roster for three-weeks before they can be officially added to the PS while the other 15 that cleared waivers from the Rams go directly to the PS.

All 15 players were in camp with the team.

LB Daniel Bituli
TE Kendall Blanton
C Cohl Cabral
DT Marquise Copeland
DB Dont'e Deayon
G Jamil Demby
DT Michael Hoecht
DB Juju Hughes
WR J.J. Koski
DB Tyrique McGhee
LB Derrick Moncrief
LB Natrez Patrick
QB Bryce Perkins
LB Christian Rozeboom
DE Jonah Williams

Two other players of note that the Rams hoped would clear waivers are the last two on the list. Rozeboom and Williams were considered numbers casualties but they survived and are back with the Rams. Bituli, Blanton, Cabral, and Moncrief are also back. WE now have the third youngest roster in the NFL and a very talented one at that!
