Question
Should the Rams come up with some plays with Natson at WR? without Cooks ability to stretch the field with his speed that often opens up Kupp and Woods maybe Natson could step into that role. He has the speed and he is fearless.

Looks like the updated version of the O-line that will take the field against the Bears goes like this: l-r, Whitworth, Corbett, Blythe, Edwards, Evans replacing Havenstein. We may get better on the right side but now the weak spot in the O-line shifts to the left. Blythe who was crap at guard moves to Center to replace one of the worst centers we have had on a long while in Allen. Corbett is demonstrating that we traded for more garbage. Whitworth's age is now getting the best of him to the point of almost being an embarrassment. Thus, there is a good chance we will get beat by the Bears because the O-line is in shambles.

Natson at WR is not the answer. The biggest problem on this team right now falls at the feet of genius boy himself, McVay.

Since our O-line is in a state of disarray that rivals the years of the Drama Queen, here is a list of some decent O-lineman that could step-in an actually make a go of things.
OG Bryan Witzmann released by the Panthers
C Russell Bodine released by Belicheat
OT Ryan Schrader last played for the Falcons
OG Joshua Garnett
C Brandon Fusco
OT Jeremy Parnell
and ex49er OG Jonathan Cooper.

John Sullivan is still available but he got beat so bad in the snooperbowl by Danny Shelton that I doubt McVay would even consider dragging him back in.

Our reserves are Chandler Brewer and Jeremiah Kolone which have been described as being on the same level as Blythe and Allen. Suddenly, our O-line is in really bad shape. This why we should have held-off on signing Goff and traded for Trent Williams. We are not very good right now on offense and this simply defies recent logic.

The problem with our offense right now begins with McVay. A guy who has been touted as changing the league with his offense yet can't figure out how to use his all-pro RB in Gurley and then has the boneheaded idea to cover his ass by blaming a rotational schedule. McVay again spends another game not even remotely understanding the game flow and what is required for his offense to dominate. All of this has Goff digressing to the point that he yanks his 100 million dollar QB for a back-up QB that looks worse than a QB he cut. WTH. You are the HC for crying out loud. I stated this before, McVay is trying to be a buddy to his offensive players instead of their HC and his continual state of confusion has got Gurley pissed to the point of now permanently pouting and rightly so.

McVay's biggest problem leading to this complete disintegration of his offense is he lost his alter ego in Matt Lafleur who may have been the real genius behind his offense in the past two years. LaFleur knew how to use Gurley to strategically set-up the pass and he had everyone on offense on board. He knew how to use the many weapons at his disposal to attack the opponent's defense just like he is now doing in GB. Zac Robinson doesn't have a clue. Robinson is as pass happy as McVay and neither of them really like running the football even though we gave Gurley a big contract, met the arbitration price of Brown, and traded to get Henderson, an underused speedster with potential stardom. We are not going to make the play-offs this year until all of this gets fixed.

Havenstein, Cooks, D Williams will miss the Bears game.

Allen and Hager have officially been put on the IR. Gone for the year.

There is scathing article at Ramswire blaming the FO for screwing-up how they handled Saffold and Sullivan. I agree with the conclusions on Saffold. The Rams could have signed Saffold to the big money that the Titans are giving him and still have had enough money to extend Higbee and sign Clay Matthews. The Rams just chose to walk away. They should have signed Saffold as he was the bedrock of the O-line in conjunction with Whitworth. How the Rams handled Sullivan may have been the better move in light of his declining productivity in the latter half of last year and his completely getting owned by the Patriots defensive line in the snooperbowl. But Blythe got his ass handed to him in that game and the Rams still are holding onto a lineman who has amply proved he has no earthly business being in the NFL. Why this team continually finds a way to shoot themselves in the foot with all if their earned success remains a mystery to me.

I think we can all agree the Rams gave Gurley and Goff their extensions too soon, and some could argue if they should’ve been extended at all
