I hate always giving up 1st round picks all the time.

No 1st rounder for the next 2 years yet again.

Have yet to have a 1st round pick in the McVay era, and won’t for at least 3 years.

I like Ramsey, but 2 first rounders and a 4th to get him, ouch!

Crazy. Holy shit boys and girls

I am guessing we tried to package peters in this Ramsey deal and they didn’t want him.

The Rams tried but you are right SJ76, the Jaguars wanted nothing to do with Peters. WE found out what Andy Reid discovered a long time ago.

We now need to start playing David Long opposite Ramsey. Hill or Robey-Coleman will be the starters but Long should be getting maximum game playing time.

I’m with you. Obviously the Rams brass thinks they can do this nfl thing with 2nd rounders and below that. It’s interesting to say the least. We need a future stud LT

But.. we did just grab an elite shutdown corner. Maybe the best in the league

Is this a knee jerk? Could be but at least Peters is gone and we upgraded

Which surprises me a little since Peters can hit free agency at the end of the year so if they didn’t like him, they could just let him walk with no cap hit. But I guess they want draft capital, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I figured if we were making trades, we’d be looking at the Dolphins for Kenyan Drake since our running game hasn’t amounted to much yet or possibly Ryan Kerrigan or Trent Williams from the Redskins.

It's simple, who would rather sign an extension Peters or Ramsey?

Sure it is a lot to give up, but the Rams have been having a good go at the draft, not needing 1st rounders to have a good draft

They got something for him and probably thought bringing in Ramsey with Peters could get ugly.

We need a stud LT but would he be there in the 1st round the next 2 years at pick 15? 20? 25? Doubtful

Will you find the best CB in the game in the mid or late 1st?? Highly doubtful

Rams made moves today and they had to. I’m a homer FSU fan but this kid Ramsey hates to lose I can tell you that.

The big ??? Is this Olineman we got from Cleveland today. He was the 1st pick of the 2nd round in 2018. Clearly got him for depth but maybe he just didn’t like Cleveland.

SJ76, we finally got your boy. How many years have you waited? I remember when he was being drafted, you were sceaming for the Rams to somehow get him. Those were the days of Snisher and of course we whiffed. This guy is going to be huge for us. Unless he has been completely destroyed in Jagsland, we are really going to reap a harvest!!

Trent Williams is also in the mix. If Gruden gets inked, Willians is going to follow.

2016 draft we traded up to get Goff #1 overall but I forgot where we were originally. Jalen went #5

I’ll take him now. Think he got pretty frustrated in Jville especially the lack of offense. Shall be fun to watch I can tell you that. He’s got fire and he hates to lose

He’s a baaaaaaaaaad man

I’ve never been a big fan of Trent. The guy is off the field more than he’s on it it seems. If we trade with the Skins, I think that Kerrigan would be a better acquisition.

i can dig shipping Peters out , but that was a pretty hefty price ... Soooooo the franchise LT will be whom once Andrew retires?

Rams need to play Long at the other spot and keep roby at the nickel, also not a fan of hill being on the field. I read this Young kid is listed at 235.... another smallish ILB. Not sure how i feel about that.

Gaines need to be put at NT and Joseph-Day needs to see the bench.

Apparently Young is someone they liked and were considering in the 2018 draft, so they get him and a 2020 fifth instead of waiting for the 2021 third rounder they would've received for losing Peters in FA. That's a decent wash IMO, so long as playing Long for Peters isn't too much of an issue this year.

Maybe Noteboom becomes the LT next year? He was drafted as a tackle and has the agility for pass protection on the edge. Corbett played LT in college (Nevada) as well, but is projected inside to guard/center.

I agree about J-D. I brace myself for long running plays whenever he comes in.

Who says the Rams are mid to late 1st?

The way they are playing and with all the injuries, they could end up in the top 10-12

Ramsey doesn’t fix what ails the Rams right now which is play calling and execution.

The trade is what desperate teams do, and the Rams are desperate to do something to change their slide.

The Pats don’t do these stupid moves where you trade years of draft capital for 1 player.

No, they get players at bargain prices and trade them for more than they gave, unlike the Rams with Peters and others in recent history.

Again, I like Ramsey, but he isn’t the fix for the team. Plus, how do they afford him with all the too early extensions they made that have not paid off ( sans Donald)?
