Out of playoffs. They have to see what he can do. If he does not have it, he is gone. No sense wasting a spot on a guy who you dont know what you have. Give him 3 or 4 games with no pressure and see if he is worth keeping and developing.

They gave up all those top picks for a washed up Carson Palmer, then spend a 3rd round pick on Pryor.
The Raiders are by far the most incompetent organization in the NFL. And that's really saying something considering you the Bungals, Browns, Lions, Cardinals etc.

This is true. They need to see what they have with them, and if they lose, they're in better position in the draft (assuming that Davis didn't get a chance to trade away this year's first 2 picks, too).

He never impressed me with his throwing accuracy at OSU, but he certainly had wheels.

I gotta disagree.
Since 1999 the Raiders have the same amount of Conference Titles as those 4 combined. Using those 5 teams, the best 5 seasons by them since 1999.
