seems like a lot more room for error on the AFC side looking at the pct.
AFC is wide open. Not an elite team in the whole conference. Take one of Cowboys, Eagles, or Niners and put them in the AFC and they’re the run away favorite to go to the Super Bowl.

nope...too much money being made, and coaching is not what it should be. Getting more NBA like with each passing season.

5-4 in your last 9, @wood20ks....

Figuring it out.

I dunno,I have mixed feelings......Its not like we are beating good teams......
And no,the Lions have not beat a good team aall season unless you call KC a good team without Kelce and Chris Jones......and they play Denver today who has played better the last few weeks.....
So thats up in the air.......

I don't know if that's true. As of now the AFC vs NFC is 38-30 with AFC leading. There are still about 12 games to play. I realize they're playing specific divisions and 1 other team so there isn't a true go to set of games, but overall the AFC is or seems to be a better conference. So maybe they're just beating the hell out of each other at the top and we can't see it.

I respect your opinion but judging the top of the conference shouldn’t entail leaning heavily upon the middle.

You might believe that, but the top of the AFC teams have fared better vs the NFC than the top of the NFC have.

It might not matter at all, because a lot of times it's about when you play somebody as much as who you play. Many of the better teams will have a struggle at some point in the season for various reasons, that's just the way it is.

There are only 3 teams that would rank as the top of the NFC: the Niners Cowboys and Eagles. I don’t think a limited assessment of a few contests really tells the tale.

Im not sure I'd say run away favorite with the Eagles. They beat the Bills by 3 and Chiefs by 4. Didnt blow out the Pats. Lost to the Jets. Thats much closer to a 'slight' favorite imo.

If we're talking a healthy Niners team or a hot Cowboys team then I can see it.

Nah. They’d be the favorite. Chiefs are 2-4 in their last 6 and nobody else in the top group has any playoff pedigree. In fact, Ravens and Dolphins walk into the playoffs having to defeat a narrative of being playoff droppers.

As far as the Chiefs backsliding is concerned, if that continues then they wont make the playoffs so its a bit of a self correcting issue one way or the other. My guess is that the Chiefs need to win 3 of 4 to make the playoffs and only guaranteed if they win out

Eagles have reputedly slammed the panic button by making Mr. Pencil Matt Patricia defensive coordinator. I think I might not even watch the rest of this season now. All hope is lost if we’re making those kinds of moves.
