First one, maybe, second not so much.

Broncos haven't even allowed a hundred yards total on the ground this year and that is against two guys who are thought to be top 15 running backs in the league.

You have to include Pryor in those rushing numbers, not just RBs, we have a pretty good FB too.

You are right it is not like the Broncos defense practiced every week for a year against a Read-Option quarterback oh wait they did when Tebow was starting. I agree it will be tested but in order for it to work for the Raiders they are going to need to keep the game close because as soon as the Broncos get up a couple touchdowns it all but eliminates that threat other than scrambling plays. My guess is the Broncos will force Pryor to sit in the pocket and have to make plays with his arm. The main word at practice this whole week will have been contain contain contain.

Now as for the Broncos losing Clady it definitely hurts and I am sure the Raiders will try and test that out but just a quick reminder...Last year when teams blitzed Peyton Manning he threw for 68% completion with 13 touchdowns to 4 interceptions. He does pretty darn good in those situations.

and while i agree with you that Manning is certainly adept at getting the football quickly out of his hands he's never gonna win a Mr. Mobility contest. not saying he's gonna be a practice dummy, but i'd DEFINITELY expect to see more hands in the guy's face...

I understand your concern but give me one Left Tackle name of a guy that blocked for Peyton in Indy. When he first started he did have a decent Left Tackle in Tarik Glenn who made 3 Pro Bowls but after him it was a group of mediocre guys at best. Tony Ugoh and Charlie Johnson were the other two guys who blocked for him at the LT position at Indy. He still put up All-Pro numbers with those guys protecting his Blind Side.

Mostly what this boils down to is the Broncos will switch up some blocking schemes. What they had to help the right side in either sticking a RB or TE to help out will now be on his left side. Yes this then weakens the Right side but then again Peyton can actually see what is happening on that side. It also will mean the Broncos will play a little more out of the 2-TE or 12 personnel sets to help slow down any kind of pass rush. They ran out of this mostly last year and finished 2nd in the NFL in scoring and that was without TE Julius Thomas who is tearing things up to start the season.

So does losing Clady hurt...well of course it does. Is it catastrophic...NO

cd, you can bet the house that we will overload PMs blind side!! Not only Houston is coming for him, but SIO, CWood, and whoever else MAD Tarver wants.. You hit PM enough and he starts throwing picks!! That's the game plan.. And Tebow is NOT in the same world as Pryor when it comes to running.. Oh and Pryor can throw the ball too.. Wow whats up with KC?? They look pretty good.. Good coaching will do that to a team..

I understand you can throw the house at him and if you hit him enough then yes he could get rattled. Peyton though is the king of knowing how to get rid of the football quickly. If the Raiders start blitzing to that side over and over again all Peyton has to do is call a screen play to that side and when it goes for 30 or more yards will make the Raiders have to rethink how to attack him. The Broncos were one of the top screen teams in the league last year because teams blitzed Peyton 35% of his drop backs. In those plays he threw for 70% and had 13 touchdowns to only 4 interceptions. Not good odds for a defense.

Also I understand Tebow is not quite the athlete that Pryor is but of all the teams in the league the Brocos are the team since 2011 that have been doing research on how to stop the zone-read. They played the Panthers last year who have a better athlete and quarterback in Cam Newton last year and tore him apart. Throw in the Broncos have a good secondary so my guess is they will play a ton of press man against the Raiders receivers and then stick 8 in the box to stop the run and force Pryor to win with his arm not his legs. This defense also isn't the Colts or the Jaguars. Both of those teams finished 25th or worse in defense last year where the Broncos finished top 3 and have the top run defense in yards per carry and yards per game this season through two games against two pretty good running backs. I understand the Raiders have more options than just one running back but they also don't have the passing attack of the first two teams the Broncos played either so the Broncos should be able to load the box more against the Raiders.

I guess we shall see come Monday night.

it's kind of crazy a few year ago the AFCW was one of the worst divisions and now it's one of the best. I agree OAK is playing well so far.

First of all cd.. Pryor = 4.3 speed Cam = 4.5 speed So what does that tell us?? That Cam cant RUN with Pryor.. Both the JAGS and Colts put 9 in the box and we still ran on them.. Will The Raiders RUN on Denver?? I don't know bro!! BUT WE WILL TRY.. If Pryor gets loose on that edge, you wont catch him!! And we will RUN Pryor!! Now if we just sit back and send 4 ALL game long at PM, he will burn you all the way down the field!! No my bro, we are coming after that back up LT!! Clady = ALL PRO that Clark dude = 4 or 5 starts.. Will we Win this game?? Maybe NOT man!! But we will TRY!!

Cam Newton can actually throw so teams actually have to respect his arm as well as his legs. Pryor has yet to show he can actually be trusted with his arm. He can make some throws but he is a long ways away from being a polished quarterback. Now having said that I am guessing the Raiders will have some success on offense running the football.

Honestly I think Raiders are back on track to becoming a good football team. I don't think they are there yet and still think they are a bottom 5 team in this league. Now do I think they can sneak a few more wins this season maybe even this Monday...Sure I do. Any given Sunday. I don't think the Raiders strengths line up well against the Broncos strengths and well Peyton Manning is just too good and the Broncos just have too many weapons to exploit this Raiders defense this Sunday. But hey again we shall see come Monday.

cd, Cam as of right now is the better passer, but Pryor when it comes to pure talent NOBODY in the NFL is close to him!! Its up to the Raiders to develop him.. And if they do look out cuz he would be one badazz dude!! Again we are rebuilding, and if we do beat you and the REFS Monday night, what does that about the team you cheer for?? Hmmmm.. The Raiders got SPEED on D as well and they will be up for it!! Again worry about the LT and PM choking in big games!! Got to roll be back later for more talk..

Pryor and Dmac will make it hard for you, the Raiders need to score touchdowns against the Broncos though, none of this Jano MVP shit.

i gotta admit that IF the Raiders pull it off and win the reactions would be very interesting on Tuesday. but having said that, it is just one regular season game. and in reality Oakland needs this game more than the Donks do. just puttin' that out there...
