delanie had maybe his best game ever. that onside kick was a thing of beauty.

offensive line played lights out which allowed our te's to actually run some routes.

wtf is whitner doing out there late in the 4th in obvious passing situations? major liability

did u see sop flinging the ball around? i wonder if we'll see a flea flicker from him at some point

The FG we got after the onside kick somewhat pre-made up for the Ginn-INT. I know with a different score we'd play a different game, but if we had been in the same position minus those three points, we may not have gone for the 2-pt conversion (16-13 vs. 17-13). If we hadn't gone for two, and everything else went the same, we'd be out 4 points, which makes NYG go for the field goal to force overtime. I know we would have played differently and made different decisions with different scores, but I'm glad in real time and in retrospect that we got that kick. Plus, add in the short distance for them if we hadn't recovered. Plus... holding them to two field goals to start made the difference, too. (I know I effectively said everything affected everything, but this game had a lot of major factors, whereas some games don't.) Yes, I babble even more after great wins. I'm a ramblin' man.

i will agree that Eli made some amazing throws today but i have to say that the media is drinking his kool aid and he is not elite! The second interception he threw to Rogers was horrible their was nothing but niners in the area. Some throws it looked like he just throw up and turned to the side to brace himself for contact...

I thought Alex played very well but i would like to see him make the decision to run with the ball quicker... Their were times when you can clearly see no one is open and the defense is closing in fast.

Tallglass i feel you on how you felt after this one!... I have no voice, a head ache from yelling defense!, along with it being yelled in my ear, and very exhausted from the high fives and jumping up and down like a mad man as davis and hunter ran toward our seats in the corner of that end zone! I yelled NIIIIIIIINERRRS! to every new york fan that exited the stadium til my voice went completely out!

This was an amazing game to be in attendance for especially with my best friend who is a giants fan selling tickets during the tailgate how Eli and "Big Body" Jacobs would tear us a new asshole. We pretty much had them on lock and he will hear about all week!

Morning after reaction:

WE WON!!! 8-1!

Our Pass rush has disappeared somewhat, not getting to the QB quick enough.... Lot of teams will be going shotgun against us it seems.... Still like to see Brooks or Aldon mix up their blitzes and move around the LOS... try inside, turns, etc.... get creative out there Vic!

Clyde with his typical Alex hate. (Note: Blue is used for sarcasm on other boards, is it that a universal thing?)

+1 on the Clyde comment!
Take it back, Clyde actually gave Alex props. Is this the first time ever?

He did move Brooks around( he blitzed twice from the middle) and he generated the most pressure in that game but yea i would like to see Aldon moved around also...

Yeah, all Brown does is give up TDs. Spencer doesn't really stand out as a good to great player, and he has given up his share of TDs in the past... but Spencer at least stops people once in a while.

that 2nd interception was the wr stopping his route

From where i was sitting it looked like he was redirected by our D or read something different from Eli after the snap. When he released the ball Eli could see it was nothing but Four red jourseys their. Most of the Giants fans stood up yelling " what the hell did you see on that throw Eli!!" LOL either way, a pass would have not been completed in that area, it was an excellent coverage call and like i said as soon as he released four hats were moving quickly to the ball it so happens that Rogers got their first

Good:
Playcalling. The onside kick was balls and the two point conversion was a thing of beauty.
Alex Smith
Linebacker play
Akers

Bad:
Blitz - Manning torched it
Pass Rush
Overall run game

I think Culliver played a good game, but he tends to get lazy at the last second. I don't know if he stops because he feels the ball is too long or something, but he seems to let up. I noticed it especially in the fade routes in the end zone.

Culliver had a terrible game. Gave up one TD, missed giving up one at the end of the game by a fingertip and only an overthrow on a corner route kept him from giving up a third.

IDK to say terrible entirely, two plays we "saw" he was beat but maybe he was on point with coverage in the rest of the game?

But I am a little mad on the MM TD... yes Eli made a great throw there but Cully, IMO during live and replays, could've tried to come down with MM and possibly jar it lose....

One thing I don't want to see against strong WRs is the drop of Saftey help... F it....

Some observations from Section 31 yesterday:

Manning was not only barely sacked, he was untouched most of the day. Aldon Smith was taken out of the game in the second half b/c he kept losing his footing in the first half.

The onside kick looked like he shanked it. My seats are on the 45 behind the visiting bench, so that ball looked like it was coming right at me. It was brilliantly executed and I can see why the Giants return team stepped back initially -- it didn't look like an onside kick.

Ingress/egress from the Stick is just awful. The stadium wasn't full until the end of the first quarter. The niners need to do something about this. Maybe it will only get better when they move to Santa Clara.

That was the loudest crowd I've heard at the Stick in a decade. People finally have something to root for and they are showing up to do it.

Whitner and Goldson may be the hardest hitting safety tandem in the league. When they hit people you hear it.

The Giants stacked 8-9 guys in the box all day; there was nowhere to run. It was heartening to see Alex take advantage of that.

The media is taking up a new mantra against the 49ers. Now all of the "experts" are saying that the 49ers can't play from behind.

How many 4th quarter comebacks does a team need to have in order to qualify for a team that can still score while behind and win the game? I think the 49ers are up to four 4th quarter come from behind victories.

Dude, no offense but I always have a hard time trying to understand you. Periods and capitalizing the first letter of sentences helps, alot.
