Question for 49er fans

I have heard rumor on the radio that there is a chance SF will let Harbaugh go and hire a college coach. Since I am a believer that it is best to check rumors out, can you please tell me if that is a real rumor for this year? What do you think are the odds of it happening if the rumors are real?

Even if Harbs was a bad coach, in less than 3 seasons on the job he has delivered the team to the SB, NFCCG, and AT LEAST the NFCDG. How could they possibly fire a guy with that track record?

I heard something about money differences. Which would be the only reason I could think of that could possibly be real. It would surprise me too, but since I heard the rumor, I needed to ask about it by the fans who would know more than anyone else. Thanks all.

After Harbaugh's name was floated in the press, all sorts of rumors began to fly. One rumor said money was an issue with SF. Another rumor was he was rubbing people the wrong way in the F.O. and the F.O. wanted him gone.

Eddie D was asked about this and he said the team is working on an extension with him. I would believe Eddie D over all the rumors.

Maybe you could say that Harbaugh might choose to leave, but you have a better chance of winning the lotto than the team firing him. Since he's under contract for 2 more years it would have to be a firing.

Beyond the coaching reasons the perception of the ownership etc would make this impossible to happen. Jed York's father was viewed as a cheap skate and someone who had no idea what he was doing. It wasn't until his son took over and Harbaugh came in that things began to change. John York already fired Mooch back in the day with no real plan and this would bring all those memories back and destroy a good thing going on.

Yep ,new deal coming for JH to keep him with the 9ers. This must be about that BS attempt from the U of T to get him to leave the 9ers....a non-issue for sure.

This is from a couple weeks ago but it has some insight on the situation. I just hope they can all get along and we can keep harbs as long as possible. I remember life before harbs and i dont want to think about going back.

If this team fired Jim Harbaugh I would seriously have to question my loyalties. That would go down as the single most stupid event in professional sports history.
