With RG3 on a bye, my backup is Cutler and I am not comfortable with him for week #5. I still am holding out that RG3 could turn it around, but he hasn't done much so far. That said I need a replacement for week #5 and possibly someone to continue seeing on my active roster. Here are the available culprits w/ their week #5 opponents.....

Bradford (Jax), G. Smith (ATL), Pryor (SD), Manuel (Car), Hoyer (Buff)

If it was just for week #5, I might go w/ Bradford for the Jax match-up, but if I am contemplating more starts from me I am leaning toward Pryor or Hoyer.

12 team, 6 pts/TD pass, 1 pt/20yds passing.

So, what does the brain trust here think...thanx

I would get Bradford just for one week because Jax is just so bad

I understand the Bradford call for just 1 week, but if I want to use one of these going forward, because Cutler flat out sucks, which of the 5? Or should I just go with Bradford and run with RG3 the rest of the year?

I'd definitely keep Cutler over Bradford. To be fair, RG3 only is averaging 1.75 points/week more than Cutler this year.

You don't think Pryor or Hoyer would be an upgrade over Cutler if RG3 continues to stink it up?

Hoyer is probably gonna win the MVP, so it might not be a bad idea to grab him :becky:

Honestly, Cutler is still gonna get you points. I love the Trestman offense, and he has some very nice matchups coming up.

ok, thanks....

I am just worried about week #5 vs New Orleans. Chicago is going to be behind, imo, and going to have to throw. Cutler looked pretty bad yesterday vs Detroit. When Jay HAS to throw, the outcome is not always very pretty.
