no i agree with you...........

I just find it helps my recovery, i push myself hard, ive been busting my butt and transforming myself.........i take in about 3400 calories a day, and still am losing some weight, to give you an idea the intensity.........I am in the process of going back to a split training program, but I have been doing lately an every other day full body weight routine, and dear god its kicking my butt, i'll take the help, and i struggly to get the calories in i need, so liquid calories help lol

yeah, i totally understand. i'm not working out like that right now, but I have before. looking forward to getting it going again.

most people just don't burn anything close to 500+ calories in a workout, and don't know what it feels like to do it.

well good luck when you do get back into it, its amazing what that 1-2 hours a day of working out, can do to your energy and moral.........

why its proven that a dose of of sugar, with a protein to carb ration of 1 to 2-3carbs, somewher eint eh 25 grams protein, and 50-75 grams carbs post work within 30 minutes greatly assists in muscle recovery and reproduction

Sugar yes. Protein much less so.

well either way i need the protein, i dont get enough.........and the carbs, so just get it all at once........

You definitely need enough. I'm just saying that having it immediately isn't as important. A Gatorade then and protein a little later would still be plenty beneficial, assuming you get enough protein in general.

Right then is good because it puts you in the habit of getting enough, but the immediacy is less important biologically.

yeah i get what your saying, i dont get enough im trying to get around 150-175 a day, this way i get it, and it gives my postworkout a lil boost

like i said i do some pretty intense sessions......i used to do this all the time, then i had 7 orthopedic surgeries got fat and quit sports........

now im back in better shape than ever, but gotta focus more on nutrition and such since im not 18 anymore
