I think it's time to do one to get things started. Since the amazing a-holes at OTG and HF have no clue how to rate our prospects.

It was a tough choice for me between Erixon, McIlrath and Miller. However, I just have this incredible hunch that Miller is going to absolutely explode offensive in juniors this season. If I was going on our scouts, I'd say Erixon one, McIlrath two.

Zuccarello is by far the more fun name to say. I'm going with him.

If his first name as Danny, he would be a first liner in my book.

Torts doesn't like Zuccarello that much. I usually wouldn't list him as a prospect but since he didn't stick, I threw him back into the prospect pool.

Tough call between Thomas and Kreider. Krieder obviously has the offensive dynamics but Thomas will do alot of little things to help them, plus his offense is solid too. Don't sleep on Steven Fogarty either who could turn out to be a 3rd round steal.

I thought Chris Kreider was the Rangers top prospect going into last season, but I think JT Miller leapfrogged him some.

I think kreider is going to light it up under AV.....glad to see ya back D!

Hey man, glad you joined us! Yeah, with a coaching change, I expect Ranger prospects to benefit more than anyone on the team. Tortorella had a tendency to hate offense & young players. Best thing the Rangers could've done was make a coaching change for the sake of changing the culture within the franchise. I'm not saying Vigneault is going to be coach of the year, but I fully expect him to be a vast improvement over what was there before.

good point

The Rangers could now find an offensive "flow" but Hank might be an issue going for 85 million, speculation on my part about the numbers:doh:

I think $8.5 million would be a bit much. Really makes no sense to spend more than $7 million on a goalie IMO, at the very most, I wouldn't give more than $7.5 million to any goalie, even if it were Hasek in his prime. Maybe I would fork over that money in the old days but not in the post 2005 lockout era.

and the tone out of NY might be to pass on the price

It's only because he's the King of New York that I could see them giving him $7.8 million. Anything more than that could be better spent somewhere else. Better to have a good team than just a good goalie IMO.

this should be fun.....

keeping up with process of Hank and the Rangers. He hasnt won a cup and the itch still has to be there under AV. I speculating that Hank is going to come down in price

Yeah, Hank should learn from Luongo & Bryzgalov. A big contract like that isn't always a good thing. It could cause the fans to turn on you, you become a hindrance to the team, and then become impossible to trade. If he's serious about winning, he should take a moderate salary under his market value for the good of his team. Otherwise, it could potentially ruin his legacy.
