I read this yesterday, I wouldn't have made some of the later round picks, but was an interesting article.

I mean you could try to make it similar regions but would have to make a few stretches.
NFC west Arizona State, Washington, Stanford and Missouri.
NFC east Texas, penn State, Virgina Tech, Louisville
NFC North Michigan, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Michigan State
NFC South South Carolina, Florida, LSU, UGA
AFC West Oregon, USC, UCLA, Oklahoma State
AFC East Florida State, Clemson, Miami, Auburn
AFC North Ohio State, Tennessee, Louisville, Nebraska
AFC South Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Alabama, Baylor

Fair? any changes?

So what happens when a team starts tanking and reverting to their usual...Baylor, TTU, Louisville, Da U, Okie Lite, etc....and teams that weren't picked start coming up strong? How often, if ever, will the teams be revisited? I think FCS changes from time to time.

I would think it would be best to have 6 major conferences (the P5 and one made up of the best of the rest) with 14 teams each. Each conference would have a CC....those and 2 wild cards would make up the Playoffs. Call it D-I+ (or whatever) and the rest of the current FBS would be in D-1.

You could rearrange the conferences to make better sense so you don't have a WVU traveling so much.

Every 5 years, the 5 worst in D-1+ would drop down to the D-1 and the top 5 would move up.

Rarely would we see the 12-0 and 11-1 teams with that league.

Wow! Could you imagine? Holy smokes!!!

All wishful thinking. With the PAC, B1G, and SEC stability I doubt we ever see teams kicked out or "rearranged" meaning teams switching conferences just for geography purposes.

LSU at 13 is insane to me both Georgia and Auburn got picked ahead of them and it is supposed to be a long term pick.

I'd take LSU in the top 5 without even thinking about it.

I don't understand the idea of having AFC/NFC. These divisions are all over the place. This destroys any sense of rivalries.

I took the NFL AFC and NFC and tried to match up as many city and regions as possible. thats why you have Missouri and Oklahoma State in the west just like st louis and Kansas city.

Louisville has it doubly tough. They are gonna have a brutal schedule which means they'll likely be the first to be yanked down to the lower division when they go 2-22 in their first season playing 2 games a week.

I think some reshuffling is in order

AFC has USC, Bama, Ohio, Oky, FSU....pretty tough.

And add up and comer program Oregon.

I draft every program in the state of Texas, even though they have fewer NCs than OU combined.
