First Pro Bowl Draft scheduled to air on NFL Network in January - NFL.com
Pro Football Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders will serve as alumni team captains for their eponymously named Pro Bowl squads -- Team Rice and Team Sanders -- and have final say over draft decisions. The NFL legends each will be assisted by two active player captains and one NFL.com fantasy football champion in the draft process.
That's just flat stupid and even worse is the fact that they picked Jerry freaking Rice for this format. Rice is flat terrible in most of the roles he's had since retiring and should not be given that kind of role for this kind of show. Awful.
The ONLY thing I can think of that Rice has done on TV that I've been able to stand is his appearance on The Big Break NFL. He didn't have to do a lot of speaking on the show so his deficiencies were masked pretty well.
I won't even get started about giving a "fantasy football champion" a shot at this. Just flat stupid.
