If he was technically out of bounds, he was out of bounds. I'm not 100% sure of the rules on putting a hand down, but if putting that hand down before his 2nd foot means incomplete pass, it was an incomplete pass.

Not worth wasting too much thought on, though. It led to a TD, sure, but it's a preseason game TD, and we know that it was a bad throw.

The TD strike to Boyce was beautiful, though.

i dont get it everyone says mallett is not worth a first round pick in a trade yet nobody wants to trade him. if hes not first round talent then why wouldnt you want to trade him. a second or third round talent at qb really going to be the future of the franchise and win us sb's?

Briz, I'd love to get a first round pick. But teams would have to be stupid do it. If mallet had been playing like Curt Cousins has......Woo-Hoo! But he hasn't. Washington wont trade Cousins until they know RGIII can stay healthy.
