Elliott looked fantastic! I love the way he didn't back down from mixing it up with Chancelor. That kind of attitude is infectious on the football field. Between Elliott and Dez this offense will not lack for confidence and passion.

And out of all that, everyone was reminded that Cam has a $.02 brain. A rookie rolls him up and so he replies with a cheap shot personal foul. Then the next chance Cam got to get Zeke he tried to lay the wood and ended up bouncing off the rook and looking like a fool.

Defensively - we could have had Peterson, Norman, Sherman , Mathieu and Earl Thomas in our secondary and it wouldn't have mattered.

The thing I'm worried about is has he seen enough live bullets for week 1. 2 yrs ago he didn't play much in preseason and looked terrible vs SF.

Good point. I am more concerned about the defense giving Eli all day to throw. I extremely concerned about our going on 20 years of lack of a pass rush.

At least he has padding for a hit from behind. He was folded in half, no padding for that.

Nasty was the wrong word- awkward is better. I compared to me jumping into the shallow end of my pool where my butt hits the bottom quick. It jars me. Now 260 pounds on top of that. He was fine. He could have gone back in. I'm worried he hasn't had enough work.

If I am thinking of the same play you mention, there was no doubt the ball was tipped at the LOS. If I am correct, then Kam was not guilty of a penalty. It was a bad call and that is probably why Pete was bent at the call. It was not a cheap shot IMO.
You sound like you haven't seen good RB's make a safety pay for trying to stop a run play. Beastmode did it all the time.
Your post was the only one I read that someone put down a player from either squad.
