Preseason Game #3 Patriots vs Carolina Panthers

End of 3.....................16-3 Patriots.

Late getting home from Freshman high school football. Grandson is the QB. I'm sending him to Foxboro tomorrow. He threw 2 TD passes. The first was 55 yards. The second was 60. Both were over 30 in the air. The third TD was a QB keeper for 20 yards. We won 20-0.

Jacoby Brissett came in and went 8-8 for 85 yards a touchdown on his first drive.

He looked much better than Garrappolo and Brady. No panic, no rushing his passes. Cool as a cucumber.

I have a feeling he could step in and handle the job.

Panthers scored a TD against the third string with 2 minutes left in the game. Terrible tackling by the scrubs.

Patriots D looks very good, but they have to stop trying to tackle QBs higher than the waist. It's almost as if no one wants to extend and go low. Cam Newton escaped at least sure sacks because of bad tackling technique.

Same thing as last week. 33 seconds to go and the Panthers third string QB throws his second TD against the scrubs. Absolutely horrible pass coverage. Fortunately for the Patriots there's only 27 seconds left. 19-17 Pats.
Now watch the screw up the onsides kick and lose this game.

Onside kick goes out of bounds......penalty Carolina. Patriots take a knee.

Patriots win their third preseason game in a row, 19-17.............it really wasn't that close.

Well. In summary, Brady doesn't have to worry about his job. So now he relax with Giselle for 4 weeks.

Jimmy G looks like a player with about 4 pre-season games under his belt. I still say 2-2 would be more than ok.

The rest of the team looks pretty good though.

Jordan Richards was very disappointing.
Crevon Le'blanc was almost as bad while injured?
The Painters scored 3 points prior to our "players to be cut" came in.....
