Bengals schedule:
Balt X2 L,L
Pitt X2 L,L
CLE X2 W,W

@home:
Den (W) (maybe) If anyone thinks Peyton Manning is going to last an entire season, he is either high or drunk. If this is a week 1 or 2 game, then Denver will destroy our defense, otherwise, we win.
OAK (W) Darren McFadden gets injured too much, and no Michael Bush this time. Carson elevates the receivers, but would be a lot better playing SOMEWHERE ELSE than Cincinnati, as evident by him LEAVING the town in the first place.
DAL (W) (maybe) Romo's streakiness and playing at home gives us a better chance... but his streaks may go the other way.
NYG (L)
MIA (W)

@away:
JAX (W)
KC (W) hard place to win, but they were awful. stop the run, and they are done.
S.D. (L) Bengas in Cali means loss
PHI (L) Dream team recovers a little
WAS (W) New QB will make highlights, but not w's

9-7 best
7-9 worst

I think you underestimate us with Pittsburgh and Baltimore a little bit, and some of those games can go either way, but yeah, I think 10-6 is their celling this year with the schedule, and their floor is probably 6 - 10.

Isn't it sad that after going 9-7 and with money to spend, Mike Brown is happy with a ceiling of 10-6?

Right now I'd say 7-9. After the draft I'll say 5-11.

Odds are we'll win 1 or 2 of those games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh, but odds are we'll also lose some we should have won. In any case, Pittsburgh should be highly favored, and Baltimore will be slightly favored, and about even when playing at PBS

Baltimore and Pittsburgh both swept us last season, and badly. Odds are not that we'll win 25-50% of our games against them next season. Odds are we'll go 0-4 against them again.

I'm guessing if there were odds on such a thing, it would be an over/under.

I'm setting the over/under on Bengals victories against Baltimore and Pittsburgh at 1. I actually think we could steal one of them, but there is no way I could take the over.

when you calculate the odds over 4 games, the statistical deviation comes into play. We'd have to be as bad as the colts were last season to have 0% chance of winning none of those 4 games as a whole. our odds decrease with each game we lose, however.
