.) Dodgers - After a near-disastrous start they are already within striking distance and promise to be major players in the next 18 days. They can come back from the All-Star break fairly healthy and ready to compete. Over the second half, I see them dominating the division.
.) Giants - They can afford to play in the market and are a streak or two away from re-exerting themselves. That said, I doubt they'll have a winning season.
.) D'backs - They've been on top due to nothing but attrition. As soon as the Dodgers and Giants get their shit together, the D'backs will fade. I wasn't impressed with the preoccupation with Puig and the Dodgers. Just fuckin play baseball.
.) Padres - Barely in the cellar after losing, what? 20-of-22 or something? We'll get on some streaks as always but expect us to lose someone from the pen and a corner outfielder before the deadline and maybe even Chase Headley.
.) Rockies - Worst team in the divsion and it will show over the second half. I expect some devastating losing streaks on roadtrips. Despite the Padres determination to win the cellar, the Rockies won't be able to help themselves.
