IF they were offered a 2nd rounder right now they would have to consider it. We are a better team with him but I just dont think they will be able to put together a high paying muti year deal for him. It al l depends on what they were offered.

If the team has a huge need and plenty of cap room, why not? Plus, teams could have multiple 1st round picks.

dean , if you trade off 1st rounders for 2nd rounders it means you are getting lesser talent and/or you missed on the player. we didnt miss on payne

Not really. A lot of 1st rounders do bust. IF we have no intentions of signing him long term why not trade him now? For a 1st or a 2nd. I dont understand how we are going to resign him. The next long term deal should be Sweat.

Curl, Holcomb, and Sweat have to be resigned. We already gave big money to Allen. Plus we don't know how Young will turn out. IF someone offered a 2nd we have to consider it. If they offered a first you do it in a heartbeat, even though it weakens the team this year.

We have the cap if we decide to use it . I am not sure cole is a “ must “ sign and I doubt he will be above market value

Everyone gets paid in FA. IF he plays well this year, Cole will have a good market. You have to stash money away for Sweat. If he balls out this year his market will sky rocket and will be a must sign like Tmac. Young you have to wait and see b/c of the injury.

I have posted long ago that we have the cap space to sign our guys if we choose to do so . The cap will sky rocket and cole won’t get more then market value
