Barring any setbacks Edwards should be OK come gametime. We need to be as close to full strength as possible. I'd feel better with Scott & Blackburn starting. Nothing against Chandler & Klein, both had great games last week, but I'd prefer the experience.

Looks like the Pats may be coming into this one more banged up than we are. Two most interesting are Gronkowski's back injury and Brady's right shoulder. A few well timed hits might force Gronkowski to sit and if the forearm is bothering him he MIGHT have problems holding on if we try to strip the ball. IF Brady's shoulder is bothering him it might not be a bad idea for us to force the pass. But I expect both to play and play very well.

Just posted the pick'em for this week over on the NFL General board. Checked out the lines, and it's -2.5 for Carolina, right now.

Looks like Vegas expects this to be a close one. I looked at the line on Monday and it was the same. Six guys on ESPN picked the Panthers but most went with the Pats. The general feeling is that the Patriots find ways to win games they are not supposed to win. But the line bears out that there is no absolute favorite.

This situation is unfortunate with Blackburn, both for the team and him, but I still think moving Beason was a good idea. We take 12 mil in dead money hits the next couple of years, but after that there's like 7-9 mil a year freed up. I would guess they're going to use that to offer a Hardy a back-loaded contract after the season (or they're saving up for after next, with Cam).

If you could pick one defensive category to lead it would be points allowed.

Injury Update

Hartsock, Blackburn, and Scott are all out for the Patriots game. Klein will get the start at WLB, Candler will start at RG, and Brandon Williams (remember him?) will be the #3 TE behind Olsen and Brockel.

For the Patriots, Gregory (S) and Dennard (CB) are listed as out. Arrington (CB), Talib (CB), and Washington (RB) are questionable. Amandola, Brady, Gronkowski, and Slater are probable

And once again we don't get any help. SF v NO was a god game and I thought SF would pull it out, now we have to keep winning to keep up with the Saints.

Yeah, but if we win tomorrow or not, we're a game up on SF. We lose, we still have the tiebreaker with them. That bears win today, and Lions lost, really left the whole wildcard situation wide-open.

Just hope Cam is on target. Been struggling with throws the last couple of weeks, and sailing stuff. I think the team will def be ready, psyched, and this will be the biggest home crowd they've played in front of in a long time.
